    4 Weeks Completed - WooHoo!

    Hi everyone

Just thought I'd share my success so far. As of this morning I have completed 4 weeks of Atkins and have lost 21.2 lbs (can't forget the .2 LOL).

I am so happy that I am still motivated and excercising and eating right. I'm also glad that I have moved on to OWL (thanks to everyone here in STAC). I feel great and even though I still weigh every morning and am addicted to the keto sticks, I do not freak out if I stay the same weight for 3 or 4 days (as I have done in the past). I just know that the scale will move and my clothes are definately looser.

Thank-you to everyone here who has supported me during these four weeks. I really love STAC!

Re: 4 Weeks Completed - WooHoo!

Thanks everyone - couldn't have done it without you all. Everytime I feel like cheating I always come to ADBB and read instead.

There is one problem I'm noticing. At my heaviest I weighed 250lbs and now I weigh 158. I've always carried most of my weight in my stomach and have had C-sections. I used to think everything in my stomach area was fat but (and this sounds gross) I can take a handful of my stomach and pull it out two or three inches. There is still some fat there - but also a lot of skin. I also have the hanging pouch under my belly button and tons of stretch marks. I don't have stretch marks anywhere else, just my stomach.

This is so frustrating to me because even after I do the hard work, I will be healthier but I'd like to have results look wise as well. Has anyone else considered a tummy tuck when they reach goal? Or has anyone lost a lot of weight and their skin eventually tightened up?

              Thanks again

Good question, sofarsogood ~ i have had a c-section too, and even at my heaviest before, i never had this left-over pouch that i now seem to be left with since the c-section! I am really interested in learning if anyone else has experienced this, and has overcome it without surgery! I'd obviously rather not pay 10k for a tummy tuck in the future! If there is hope for naturally losing the pouch, i want to hear it!!!

Maybe we should repost that question on the maintenance board? It is a good question and you might get more response on that board since they are done losing the weight. I'd be interested to see what people have to say about the belly area. I didn't have a c-section, but my stomach is by far the largest its ever been .

Man we are the "sisters" I had a c-section, and you can still see retractor indentations in my fat lower stomach. I have the pouch, it was caused by gaining my weight in my belly. It was there before the baby...I had a small pouch before, and below the hard abdomen, which was Caitlin and uterus, there was this little flabby place...my fat
I weigh just less today than I did in my pregnancy. I only put on 21 lbs with my daughter. My incision area 15 yrs later is still numb, anyone have that?

My incision isn't numb, but i know that this can happen. I had a breast reduction in 1996 and the under part of my breasts are completely numb. No feeling. You can pinch the skin super hard and i feel nothing... so i definitely think this can happen with incisions!!!

Thanks for the info and support everyone. My incision still has no feeling after 4 years.
