    Suggestions?

I host bonko this month. It's a dice game. Eight women. I have to cook the main course - everyone else brings sides.

I just don't know what to cook!? Last Atkins I did huge salads with all the fixings or burgers or spag. and I had spag. squash with mine.

I'm drawing a blank. They aren't that particular of a group. Since it's just the main course I'm pretty safe with whatever I cook. I'm just drawing a blank.

    Any ideas?

Taco bar? Then you can just eat one without the shell... but you can have out hard & soft shells for anyone else. Lots of veggies too...

I second the taco bar. It's easy and fun and you can have a stack of lettuce leaves to wrap yours in. I've also made meatballs and kept them in the crock pot. They aren't messy and they are easy to do. I use crushed porkrinds instead of breading and nobody has ever noticed the difference. I add spices and sometimes sprinkle cheese over them and melt. People can make meatball sandwiches or just eat them on a plate with the 'dishes' that others bring.

            Re: Suggestions?

If you do the taco bar, I suggest making a few cheese chips or even a cheese taco bowl. I have always eaten my taco salad over a bed of chips growing up (gee thanks mom! /giggle) but now I eat a salad with cheese chips on the side and I miss nothing.

There are sooooooooooooo many choices, is there anything in particular you feel like eating? Chicken? Beef? Salads, casserole, soup? Honestly I would browse

What about a breakfast theme? You could do a couple different casseroles, and some ham or sausages, and they do the rest.

I vote the taco bar too. Or you could cook a whole chicken in the oven or crockpot.

                So what have you decided?

Or you could make chili. Not a lot of fuss.

Chili it is! With cheese and green onions and sour cream. Fritoes on the side for those who want it. Hubby cooked it and I can hardly wait. Gonna be good.

                    Thanks everyone!

cheese chips for you! Show people your missing absolutly nothing by doing atkins. I cook mine on parchment papper, or on a paper plate (the smooth finish kind).

I have made the taco shells out of the cheese like that. It does turn out pretty good!
