  • Day 4 still going strong

    Hey all

Today is my 4th day and I still feel great. I have't experienced any of the induction flu that I previously had w/ atkins and I am down 5.5 lbs. I am happy about the lose but I will be mosthappy at the 10 lbs mark. I normally cheat once I've lost 7 lbs (so glad I am aware of it now so that I can prepare). I have an awful taste in my mouth but glad its keto breath instead of just plain ol' funk. Today I went to the cemetery to visit my loved ones, on the way back my mom, cousin and brother all ordered junk. My bro - popeye's biscuits and fries w/ a sprite. My mom, fries and shrimp from the fish market and my cousin red snapper, shrimp and fries from the fish market. I stood there, picking out my flounder while gawking at the grease soaked fries and deep fried batter the shrimp was fried in. I thought, it looks good but i dont want any. Than being the emotional eater that I am, I REALLY considered taking a piece. Than my mom drenched the platter w/ ketchup and tartar sause. I HATE tartar sauce, so unbeknowingst to my mom she sabotaged the greasy pile w/ even more garbage. I was SO greatful. Well good thing I didn't eat the food. My mom told me it didn't even taste good. No seasoning, just batter. And to top it off my cousin became extremely sick from it. I mean sweat and everything. I thought I missed out while sauteeing my fish in olive oil and throwing it over a bed of lettece. But I came out in the end. Thank God for atkins!

Keep that story in mind next time you're tempted by the ugly carb beast. You came out ahead in the end. GOOD JOB! Oh the keto breath.... it may not be pleasant, but you know you're on track when you have it Keep going , you have a strong start under your belt.
