  • Back and Commited to Change.

    Hey Everyone-

This is my first time posting on this site although browsing it has been tremendously encouraging over my last years of trying to live the Atkins lifestyle. I thought I'd get on here and beg of your support. This weekend I had a meltdown...I cried profusely! On top of financial problems, I realize just how much my weight has been outta control!! I have completely let myself go..now weighing in at 235 lbs,..and I am somewhere near 4 ft 10 inches!! After a week of ****, I thought, "I am gonna get out of this funk and get busy." Only I can change my situation. I refuse to accept that I cannot control my weight. I just want you all to know I got my butt back on that $1000.00 tread mill of mine and started the Atkins plan again. I know it works...please encourage me!

Good Job! You realized that you need to work on your weight. Now the next part you should know. Put the words into actions. As my parents like to say "Actions speak louder then words." I know that it is hard as I have had the same side effects. Only you can do the work. But we can help make sure you stay on track. Although I am new myself I believe that others will agree with me.

So as a friend of mind told me. Get'er Done!

And that's the right idea! Once it clicks, it clicks. Good luck with induction.

              Welcome Stacked Right,
You have come to a place of support, a place that is focused. There are so many places to visit and people to meet. Congrats on your decision to get going on Atkins. Plan some meals, get your water organized, your suppliments and take off. Stay away from anything that will distract you from the first two weeks and all the work you need to put into it. YOu can do this, in two weeks you will feel like a completely different person! It works if you work it...

Re: Back and Commited to Change.

Congrats on taking that first step! What a wonderful feeling when you are commited to gaining control.

Let me share with you what keeps me going:

Only *I* can control what goes in my mouth. *They* may make me madd, but only *I* make me eat!

I have also found that gaining control in my eating has helped me gain control in the rest of my life. It's a huge part of the puzzle and everything else just seems to go more smoothly or fall in to place.

Best of luck to you! Have a plan, plan ahead and plan for some bumps. During this time I am rediscovering myself and what makes me eat, how to handle things differently and feeling good about myself.

Bottom line : YOU DESERVE IT!

Re: Back and Commited to Change.

Well, I am in the beginning of week 2 of this WOL and I feel so much better. After weighing myself a few times...without much change, I decided not to weigh anymore til the end of this month so I would not become discouraged. I am drinking my water and getting plenty of exercise, walking 45 minutes, 2 times a day. Can't tell much physical difference yet, but I do feel better overall. It is hard getting that exercise in but I believe it will pay off. I have resolved to make this my way of life forever.
