  • I'm worth it!

I am! And you are too!!!

Hubby and I went shopping. I needed some more berries. Oh, how I love that little treat of berries. I had been missing them for about 4 days.

The prices! Egads! 12.00 for two packs of strawberries and two packs of blueberries. I started putting them back when hubby reminded me they were not sugar or junk. They were NEEDED to achieve my goal and that I was worth it.

Ya know.. I AM WORTH IT! I'm sure I use to spend 12.00 on junk with no problem before Atkins.. why not now on good stuff?

All these discoveries.. I'm so glad I keep a Stat Journal to jot it all down. Just wanted to share with the board.

    WE ARE WORTH IT!

Great perspective, Rachel! You are worth that $12 for those berries! You know, I'm going to have to remember this. I always gasp at the price of berries and put them back. But, you know...I've quit smoking, I've quit eating junk and the $12 for berries is nothing to compare to the savings I've had in money, health and peace of mind!!! Great post!

I'm not a STAC member, but I had to reply.

      I agree with you 100%!!!

Pre-Atkins, my husband and I would eat out on average four times a week! I don't buy three two liters of soda a week anymore, Little Debbie stays at the store. I did exactly what you did with almonds a few weeks ago. Then I stood there for a minute and thought to myself "WTH? You're spending less a week in groceries, not spending even half of what you were spending on eating out, GET THE ALMONDS!"

      And that was that

You're most certainly worth it and considering the cash we're all saving from not buying sugar laden crap, berries and nuts and meat that will keep us healthy and strong are worth buying!

You are worth it, indeed, Rachel!

Remember to have something containg fat (cream, sour cream, or cheese) with those berries, so that the natural sugars have less of an impact.

And, hey, nothing wrong with strawberries and cream!!

hahaha! WTG! It's all in how you look at it.

All this time people are thinking it's spicy foods and acidic foods causing reflux/heartburn. It's not. It's those nasty carbs!
