  • Goood Sunday morning, check in

    Hey STACers...
It's Sunday. I am up and rarin to go! It's still dark, but the air is cooler.
Got my plates up and spinning this morning. I feel so good on this program. So alive, so attentive to my goals. Empowered is a good word. Do you feel empowered, do you feel like you are slowly restoring healthy order to your chaotic food world. Do you have a plan, are you executing it? How about water, do you have a number to hit and are plotting along and meeting that goal. Are you exercising, can you do something to day that is active and fresh and enjoyable. Take advantage of the day, yesterday Caitlin and I popped in the car and drove over to a park and walked the jogging trail...That was fresh and different! Is there something you can get up and do today, because of the new found energy or enthusiasm...take advantage of the day off and get up and moving!
    Hey have a good day!

    Morning!

You beat me this morning on the post. I woke up late. I was up all last night with Justin comming back. We went to Denny's to eat. I got me a double cheese burger with no bun and asked for no fries. But did the lady do what I asked? No... She brings me the fries. My Mom looked at her and said "He can't have those and asked you not to bring them. " I laughed. I tried to stay up and watch a movie with him but I feel asleep.

I wake up refresed in the morning. Tammy and I are working on the excersie plan. I want to make sure I have everything figured out before I do it. On water we don't really plan much on it. I do drink 34oz before 12:00PM and 34 oz before 4:00 PM. Then I drink a lot of water at home. I have glasses here that are 16oz and drink about 5 or 6 of them a day.

Today we will all end up walking around.
Mouse? I don't need no stinkin mouse!

Good morning! Restarting induction today. So lots of plans today. Time to regain some control. Can't wait until I am feeling energized again.

Happy Sunday. I just finished making breakfast for the week. I like to scramble some eggs and sausage and divide it out in containers so that it is all ready to go. I don't even have to think about it in the mornings.

Great job on induction, Elsie. You are half way done with day one right?? How is it going so far?

Jess, I did the same thing earlier in the week. We have some very beautiful outdoor tracks to walk on. My mom and I took off down one. It was beautiful!

Doing good so far. It is only 11:38 here so still early. Though I am feeling fine. Had a nice 2 egg omlette with mushrooms, green pepper, onion, tomato and Par. cheese in it. Entered it into fitday and have almost 4 cups of water down. Just got back from the garden where I resisted some fresh raspberries. Will have to go back out there and pick them though. I will put them in the freezer for later. That will be incentive to climb those rungs! LOL! Picked some more green pepper to put into the freezer. I will later make some stuffed peppers out of them. The rest I think I will leave until they turn orange and red before picking them. Planted some jalepeno peppers too. I think I will pick them in a variety of colors too. I want to try some poppers with those. Not sure what rung they are on yet...will have to look that up.

Do you just put your breakfast in the mic for a bit? The eggs turn out okay? I never thought to do that. Learn something new everyday!

            ShannonK,
where do you walk in Orlando, I grew up in Winter Park. Your breakfast idea of preparing ahead of time sounds very smart!
Korelis, sounds like you and Tammy are having a great day, planning exercise and water...that's the best...
Welcome Elise, you are the pro, I can see from your posts...Glad you came back, I am sure you will have much to share with us. Hide those berries for now girl..you know the drill...frozen berries are just a few weeks and rungs away!!!!

              New Faces!!!

Hello everyone that I haven't met yet.

Tammy and I are working out a few kinks in things. We need to get that treadmill in the house and use it. But we have been so busy and been trying to pay some of our bills off first that its been on hold. However, we have no excause for not walking. That is next on our list of things to start pretty soon. I want to say Sept. 20 should be a good start date for us. Gives us time to figure out different places to walk and get a different sceneary.

You know, about the breakfast thing, I really don't heat the eggs up. I did for awhile, but now I like them better cold. I just eat them at my desk while I am logging into the computer. Now, I have gotten pretty good with them and inlcude peppers and cheese, etc... YUM!

We walked this week in Winter Springs at the trailhead for Blacks Hammock. It was so nice. Of course, we got caught up in one of those rainstorms typical for an orlando afternoon. Winter Park is so very nice. Where do you live now? We love to go to Winter Park to eat out. They have the best restaurants!

Thanks for the welcomes! I wouldn't say I was a pro...LOL! If I am then you all are since we have all been down this road at least twice. Lots of wisdom here I am sure. But I sure don't mind handing out my advice free of charge and I usually have an opinion on everything...LOL! Looking forward to posting. So I just look for the daily thread and jump in, right?

I'm really jumping on here late today! It is 4:30 here on the Pacific side. Beautiful day here ~ in the 70s for most of the day! My kind of weather... i am really looking forward to autumn now!

Jess asked some wonderful questions this morning... let's see... i do feel empowered. I feel back in control with my eating. And that makes me feel relieved.

My plan is to just take one day at a time, keep checking in on ADBB, keep communicating with my buddy, Sarah by email, keep up with exercise & to stay around 20 or 25 carbs a day.

For water, i stay around 100 oz a day. Water is pretty easy because it is essentially all that i drink. I do indulge in tangerine diet rite at times though.

As for exercise... i've had a bad week there! My goal for this week is to get back on track. My usual routine is to do The Firm on Monday, Wednesdays & Fridays, and then i do 45 minutes on the treadmill on the other days. I typically take Sunday off, but it seems like more days have been off than on this past week! With Luna being sick and all this past week has been tough. But tomorrow i will get back on track...

I hope everyone had a wonderful Sunday! I am just checking up on some computer stuff & then meeting DH with Luna tonight for a family dinner. Should be fun! Have a great night, STACers!

We didn't leave quite yet... but will be soon... we're going to Casa de Oro, one of my husband's Mexican places. He says they have good fajitas that i can get without the tortillas. So we'll see! It will be nice just to be out tonight and not have to worry about cooking... i am kinda tired today!

Still alive... I went to a wedding this weekend and didn't have any internet access. I didn't cheat, but I did starve. Between the rehearsal dinner, the morning wedding, etc; getting any food I could eat was a nightmare. I'm still slightly bummed by my scales not moving very much. I'm not sure why, my intakes and ratios are all looking good. I'm down maybe a pound in a week.

Good on ya for not cheating Paul! I carry some hotroda (slimjims) and some nuts in my car for those times I am caught away from home and hungry.

No reason to be bummed for losing a pound this week. You have lost 29 pounds in less than 1 month. Who can blame your body for taking a breather. As you go on you may notice a change in how your body loses weight. I.E. In the beginning you may have seen it daily on the scale and it could change to losing nothing one week and then losing 2 pounds the next week. If you are following the plan it will come off in the most healthiest way for you. Stay strong.
