  • Hump Day Wednesday.

    Hey Everyone,

    Jess must be out biking again so I get 2 days of the first sign in post.

    Today is Wednesday. I woke up at 6:30 AM and walked around for a few minutes. Got on the computer and checked ADBB. I didn't do it yesterday because of me being kind of wore out. Plus House was on and I love that show.

    Tammy and I didn't work much on the excerise stuff like I wanted to. But we will be doing walking starting Sept. 20. First will be from here to the apartment lease office. That is about 3 or 4 blocks a way.
    Mouse? I don't need no stinkin mouse!

    Happy Wednesday. I am going to work very hard on getting my water in today. I am on day eight of induction again. It is hard to remember everything.

    1st goal: 139 (earlier weight)
    what the rungs mean to me:
    rung 1 - more veggies
    rung 2 - dairy (some milk in coffee)
    rung 3 - seeds, nuts (mostly sprinkled on salads)
    rung 4 - berries, melon
    rung 5 - wine -
    rung 6 - beans, hummus
    rung 7 - other fruits
    rung 8 - carrots/ potatoes (nah, prolly not)
    rung 9 - whole grains (fresh Dutch breads...)
    Major Goal - 128 lbs/ healthy range
    (on to pre-maintenance)

      Shannon, I think it is great that you are getting more regular with posting. I like seeing you here...For a while there it was only so often...Girl you CAN get that water in...YOU CAN DO IT...

      Korelis, I was not biking...I am having a rest day. I took a bad fall last night and banged up my ribs and hip...so today I rest things.
      Hey I am so curious, if you don't mind me asking, why is Sept. 20th the day you start exercising...are you receiving something in the mail to exercise with? Do you start a special membership then, or does the clubhouse machines open to you then?
      Why can't you walk today, is your work schedule causing you guys to get home late, or in the dark....juuuustttt curious. You are such an interesting alive, fully loaded guy, with a keen sense of humor, and I am just interested.

        Good morning fellow STACers!

        I'm around. Struggling, but around. I've been having some medical issues with my thyroid and my doc trying to regulate a new medication. It has caused a drastic weight gain and lots of physical discomforts. I braved looking at the scale this morning to see where I stand and its not good. So I'm a little down, a little frustrated and a little impatient to resolve these thyroid issues so that I can move on with my life. Venting over now.

        I have my atkins foods ready for the day. But I almost feel guilty eating after seeing the scale this morning.

          Sarah it's in the eating that we then loose weight. It's in the fats that we loose fat..It's in the protein that we fuel the buring of our fats. It's in the foods that we actually get the relief from the weight...
          How can the cure be in the cause? That's the thing Atkins found out. Eat that food celebrate that food, and enjoy the foods, the cure is in these specific foods and the eating of them, not the denying of them...
          The answer is in eating, not in denying yourself and dieting...the answer is in specific foods...enjoy them, they will lead to weight loss...

            ok, that was a lightbulb experience for me!!! The answer is found right in the middle of the eating!!!!
            I am on a new page now...totally hyped up.
            Sarah, girl keep your head down and focus, you are definately on a rough patch of the road here with the meds and thyroid...keep to the plan you made at the beginning of this week, that plan you posted, the one you can do. YOU CAN DO THAT PLAN...
            take your eyes off that scale...and just work on hitting your plan...let the weight alone for now...work on the medications and the plan.. the answer is in eating the right things and supporting it with water and exercise...and the other things you planned...

              Sorry to hear about the medical issues. But, you know why the scale is bobbing and it's not your fault! Stick to the plan and know that you are doing everything possible. If you stick to the plan and still gain a bit.. just think,, it would have been worse had you not been following Atkins!!!

              you can do it.. triumph over this! You can do it! It IS possible! We are all here rooting for you girl!!!

                  Hi Shannon, Congratulations on day 8. I was drinking my last water last night at 11 p.m., so I floated to bed.

                  Hey Jess, I wondered where you were too. Wow! That sounds like a nasty fall, and I hope you aren't hurt too bad. I'm so glad you're hyped again to treck on this WOL!

                  Hi Sarah, I'm sorry to hear you're not feeling well and hope your doctor is able to help you straighten it out. Forget about that ol' scale today! Keep eating and without guilt.

                  I'm doing great...eating right, exercise, water, vitimins, feeling great. I had to add a second calcium/magnisium supplement last night. As soon as I jumped in bed, my feet and legs started to cramped up, and I hate that. They got so bad my first time on Atkins, that if I didn't stand up right away, I could barely straighten them back out That was before I knew about magnesium. I'm going to go make some eggs and two thin slices of bacon.

                      Doing good here. Appetite is gone but know I have to eat. Energy is starting to kick in and for some reason..unless it is hiding around the corner I have missed the induction flu!!! That is great because last time it was a killer!

                          Ahhhhhhhh...that makes sense. I was just being nosy anyway...LOL! Though the Rep thing was really interested...and I even gave you some as thanks. I didn't know what the rep power and the squares meant and even have some from people leaving me some last time I was on the board...so very interesting reading! Thanks again.

                              hello everyone :d I am here!!!!! I do not feel like doing anything.. I feel tired after walking today :P walked kiddo to school, walked to grocery store, walked back home and walked to get kiddoa nd back home LOL
                              now I need to clean house.... two older ones are napping but baby is here in the room with me I wish I could lie down too LOL
