  • Before the Sun Rises, It's Friday check in

Good morning STACers...I am up before the sun. I am up everyday before the sun!
Hope all of you are doing well...
Been reading alot of posting from Elsie, she is establishing order in her whole world, room by room and meal by meal! (I should have been in advertising...)
Good morning, Paul, Richard, Tammy, Rachel, Dragonflymoon, and Sarah1234,
and I know, I know there are more of you out there, and I just can't keep up with all the names...So, make a big deal and say, "Hey you left me out, I don't want to be out of the morning greetings..and it will force my attention span.

It's gonna be a good day. My daughter made it thru her mini crisis of leaving her food behind yesterday and being given money to eat in the cafeteria. She did great...Hmm, I have not seen the change from that 5 dollar bill.

Well, here's hoping it's a good one, and I will pop in to check in and see all of you...

IT'S FRIDAY!!! YEAH!!! Lots to do around here this weekend. I was exhausted by 10pm and up by 5:30. It was nice to just lounge and not have to jump out the bed and rush after having hit the snooze too many time (pre-Atkins life). Hubby is amazed at my energy. He's an outdoors person who never stops and the past few weeks I have been following him outdoors in the evenings either mowing or helping him out. It's a wonderful feeling to have this much energy.

      HAPPY FRIDAY!

        Good Morning!

Yep..I am establishing order. I can't describe the feeling I get walking into my nice and neatly ordered Kitchen and Bathroom. What a huge sense of accomplishment. My appetite is gone so very easy to eat 3 meals a day. Water going down easy. Only complaint is that I have been having trouble sleeping. Tired...I go to bed and have no trouble going to sleep but sometime in the middle of the night I wake up and it takes a couple of hours to get back to sleep. Last night I took a shower in the dark and then came to check to see if a Friday post had been started. I am jealous Rachel of your sleep and energy time.

Getting close to Sunday weigh in. Yippee!

Good vibes for weigh in! My sleep comes and goes, even on Atkins. Some days I can be awake at 5 no problem.. some days the alarm goes off and I don' know where the time went. yesterday I was pretty active so I"m sure that's why I was tired. But I do have an energy that is even throughout the day and that is a good thing. Use to at the end of the day I was pooped. And I sit all day so how could I be tired?? Now I'm ready to get out and stetch after having to sit here all day long. Look at you, cleaning up a storm and using that energy

Hi STACers... happy Friday! TGIF! It is a beautiful day here and today marks my 60th day, cheat free! Woo-hoo! I am celebrating by doing the Firm as soon as i get off of the computer. I just had a delicious half of a bacon/tomato/onion/swiss omelet and i am ready to go... dropped of Luna at school and she did great... things seem to be really coming along with her this week.

I am going to my massage therapist's house at 11 to Feng Shui her house in exchange for an awesome massage tomorrow, which is my "reward" for 50 pounds lost... so i am pretty happy about that and very excited about getting the massage tomorrow!

And before i get teased about feng shui... (yes, apparently i am the resident freak of STAC) ~ it is just the Chinese placement of objects & colors and such and no big deal. It allegedly improves the energy of the house, and it is fun. Plus, it gets me a free hour & a half massage, so that works for me! LOL...

Enjoy this beautiful Friday, everyone!!! Here's to us...

I really believe in the energy flow! I did read up on some things and it makes sense to me. And getting a free massage out of it IS worth it! What a treat! Enjoy.

Thanks. While you are going through it, it seems so hard. Then after it's done you can see how far you have gone and suddenly it doesn't seem that bad. I always heard the toughest year of marriage is the one you are in. Makes sense to me!

And believe me, the media hyped many things up that they should not have. Katrina's disaster in New Orleans was levee collapse. That was due to the storm, but the storm did not do that damage. The levees did. Do you see anymore of Mississippi? Florida? Texas? Western La? No. It doesn't grab enough attention. Around here we say "Guess the media forget Rita happened." Friends were really fired up when Katrina victims living in Houston and having all their utilities, rent and food paid for were ticked because funds were being cut off. HELLO? It's been a year. Get off ya duff and DO something with your life. It's not a handout.. it's a help up and it only comes through hard work. I was dead against accepting my Church's help. I felt like I had insurance and we were safe and others were in more need. Finally, my pastor - and longtime childhood friend - told me it was okay to accept it. People wanted to help and it was not an insult to receive. And how we had helped many people in our own lives and now it was our turn. He also stressed on how having insurance would help, but it wasn't going to be enough. He was so right. We had to restart our lives. Pillows, blankets, toothbrush, comb, pens, pencils... sounds trivial.. but dishes and cleaners and hello UNDERWEAR! LOL I just know in my life I have to pay it forward...and we have and will continue to do so. A neighbor is having a housewarming party tomorrow night. She was very upset that her sisters wanted her to register at stores for stuff. She kept saying insurance paid for things. I finally said, "We want to celebrate WITH you on your new house.. let us." She finally agreed to gift certificates She's one of those too who always gives and finds it hard to receive.

Yikes. I've written a book! sorry!!!! It's my therapy LOL

Afternoon all, sorry for the late check-in. Doing very well, the pounds keep coming off and I'm in a good mood. Today is day 36 for me, and I'm 33.5 pounds down. I'm almost 1/3 of the way to my goal weight, which is fairly startling. For the first time in weeks I had a fizzy drink today (Sprite Zero). Good stuff, I missed it

Thanks, Jess! I feel great ~ and looking back at 60 days gone by... it seems have gone by so fast. So i need to just keep trucking along...

                        It is pronounced: fuhng shwey

                        Definition:
the Chinese art or practice of creating harmonious surroundings that enhance the balance of yin and yang, as in arranging furniture or determining the siting of a house

My bad, i said it was Japanese earlier but it turns out it is Chinese. I got confused because my cousin used to live in Japan, and they got a huge deal on their house because it was "faced in the wrong direction"!!! So i guess Feng Shui is used all over, but is based in Chinese philosophy.

It went great today & now i am excited about getting my massage tomorrow! Woo-hoo!!!
