Half way to Oct. what do you want to accomplish

  • Half way to Oct. what do you want to accomplish

    So, I was wondering, to start a new thread...It's half way thru Sept, the weather is cooling...What do you want to accomplish this month, be very specific...Get into Jeans? Exercise outside? Hike? What are you aiming for in Sept, and what do you want to complete before Oct. 1

    This month for me was solidifying all of the new routines with water...
    My next step is to get my daughter on the rungs. I would like to learn to use fitday, and continue my reading in low carb books.

    Hmmm, good question. I have a long-term goal for March, but really don't have any shorter goals other than daily goals of getting water in and veggies eaten. I'm very busy with the house, etc.. but I do think it's a good idea.

    OH! I did buy a Pilates dvd and I'm trying to do it daily. That's my goal. I have a pair of jeans I wore in August for my nephews party and I want to wear those same jeans at my neices party at the end of this month. So... those will be my goals.

    1. pilates daily
    2. jean difference

      After a long hot summer of not minding my yard much due to other projects and activities as well as the opressive heat & humidity, I aim by Oct. 1 to have a totally weed free & manicured lawn, flowerbeds and shrubs, including removing trash trees along the fence lines.
      I've done the front, and now am working the side and back yards, by hand, using a fork, clippers, and old plastic grocery bags for weed digging and pruning. With shorter days, that gives me 2 weekends plus about an hour each of 10 more weekday evenings if the weather's good to finish, around all my other chores, of course.

          I would like to be down enough in size that I have to go buy a new outfit or two. Ideally, I would like to lose 10 more lbs. by then, but that seems out of my control. All I can do is keep on the induction and exercise & try to make my body shape/size my goal.

            Lady Hawke I want to loose my double chin too...
            so, what are the specific plans you can take to ensure your weight loss continues?
            How is your water intake, how is your exercise?

              Awesome thread, Jess!

              I am currently squeezing into some size 16s, and i would like to be completely into size 16 comfortably by October 1st. And i would love to be at 215 by the end of October, when we leave for our trip across country. I think that would be really nice to be at that next goal by then!

                I'm going to continue to be cheat free and be good. I should up my water intake a bit and continue to do at least a mile with my WATP tape!

                  Very cool, specific mini goals to aim our energy and attentions at. Stepping stones to our future. Staying a step ahead. Mini goals are the ones that are achieve able, sustainable, measusrabale, and when we meet them, we feel good...

                      Great idea Jess. I am a "scratch-off as I go list keeper." It helps me see I've done something. I have to take care of my office. It's got stacks of mail and receipts that need to be file or thrown away on every surface. And a lot of old books and magazines need to go. A few craft projects are mixed in with all of this. If fact, there is a purple ball of yarn that has turned into a vine and come out to the door, around the livingroom wall and attached itself to the telephone by my computer...probably calling 9 1 1 for help in this cluttered up mess.

                        Pretty impressive stats happenin in your world there babs....I am proud of you.
                        I have read of more people who get up and go clean up or out rooms closets or cabinets...once induction benefits happens...Have you heard the teen pharase, "Friends with Benefits"? Well, we have "Induction with Benefits"
                        Have a good time and feel the power as you organize.
                        I cleaned my walk in closet and now I give tours...one friend remarked at the difference.

                              Good to see your daughter, Jesse She's moving on along. My teen did it and has managed to keep the weight off. She's a regular teen who eats what she wants but is more careful, jumping back to atkins whenever she feels it getting out of control. I'm really proud of her.
