  • Good Sunday Morning

Yes, it's 5am and I am up. I have been up since 3, due to a barking dog! Darn dog. Once I"m awake it's so hard to go back to sleep. That's okay, just means I'll need a nap later.

Will be working on the shed today. One step closer to rebuilding our lives. That's how I look at Atkins too. Each day is one step closer to my goal.

Hope everyone has a productive day!

    Re: Good Sunday Morning

Good morning Rachel, YES we are stepping out in our new lives...We are living those new lives right now...I know you are reconstructing a new life with your property. Continuing to build, reconstruct and over come a natural disaster...Just think, your children have lived thru loosing so much, and walking through the rebuilding of things...that's something that will be with them forever, the knowledge that life goes on, and you rebuild...it's long and it's hard but it can be done! The fear of loosing it all, will weigh differently on so many of the children of these hurricanes than it weighs on those of us from a distance who cannot imagine. The knowledge of hard work, and finding little things to be grateful about are wonderful things to be in a foundation.

It's a great day. I am up early to have my time before leaving the house for an 8am meeting...

        Morning All!

Rachel...I love your little ray of sunshine attitude!!!

Jess...I really admire your dedication to 'me time' and all the positive feedback you leave for us.

Morning Slim...how is induction going for you?

My great news is I am one week done induction and 10 pounds down!!! Amazing. Last year I think I lost 9 pounds my first week. So I am very thankful. And especially thankful that I did not eat some peanut butter that was calling my name last night.

Morning STACers ~ happy Sunday to you!

Jess ~ i love the new picture of you and Caitlin ~ you both look so cute!

Elsie, congratulations on an amazing first week! 10 pounds is just super!!!

Well, i was MIA from here for the most part yesterday ~ i hurt my back really bad - i woke up with a stabbing pain in my middle back along my spine, so bad that i thought about going to the hospital. Luckily, my friend had given me a pain patch to try out so i had DH put it on my back and it really helped out with the pain quite a bit. Then, fortunately, i had my massage appointment yesterday afternoon as well, so that really helped too. My massage therapist is my "angel lady" ~ she is just so amazingly gifted that i always told her she has "angel hands." She is actually physical therapist and i met her when i was pregnant with Luna and had sciatic problems, and i went in twice a week for "butt massages." LOL! So anyway, because she is a physical therapist, she knows all of these amazing body memory moves and how to release the pain, so it was such a blessing to see her yesterday.

The amazingly wonderful news for me for today is that i am down three pounds this week! PLUS i have my TOM!!! So i am just thinking that this Fitday stuff is really working for me. Now that i keep very close to my ratios each day, it just seems to be really amped up and no more stalls... well, we'll see... knock on wood, right? So 11.5 pounds to go to my next mini goal...

            Re: Good Sunday Morning

            Good Afternoon all,

I am sorry I was not around yesterday. Tammy and I spent most of our time on Friday at my parents. Ended up buying Tammy a car as well. Thats another paragraph. Saturday we were spending time with my brother and playing games with family. Since we spent the night at my parents we can't always get on the computer because of them using it. Plus I don't like going out there a lot because it is their "smoking" room.

So about the car we got Tammy. I want to share this with everyone in Houston that is looking at getting a car (most of you regulars are not from Houston I don't think but oh well). As you all know Justin is in the Marine Corp (he is my brother). He needed to get a vechile since he totaled out his other. Thursday they found the Truck that he wanted. Well Friday they where at the dealership and Tam and I wanted to see the truck and find out if Justin was going to get it. Well he got it and everything by the time Tam and I got there. As we where going to leave we noticed on Justins (used) truck that the rims where bent on the back tire. We talked to the Sales Manager who looked at the rims and went "Oh no... Let me get that changed!" The sales manager went to find someone to change the tire in service but they had gone. He went and took the truck back there and changed the tires HIMSELF!! Even after ALL of the paper work was signed and he could have legally said No you accepted it as is allready.

While we waited for Justin's truck Tammy found a Yellow Neon that she liked. We talked to the sales manager about it when he dropped the truck off to Justin and had a sales person talk to us then. We ended up buying the Neon then too! Got a darn good deal on it. Tammy and I both now own 2004 Dodge Neon's. The insurance company couldn't figure it out when we did the adding it to the policy. The lady swore we allready had a 2004 dodge neon on the policy lol.

Anyway. Back to Atkins. Tammy and I didn't cheat. We have walked some this weekend so that was good. But wanted to let everyone know we are still here.

New car! Yeah! I love my "new to me" Tahoe that's how we say a used car. Sounds cuter LOL I especially love no notes!!! Neon twins! Yellow and.. what's the other color?

Today I got the kids new mattresses. Son's loft is soon to be complete and oldest daughter will be moving into the mini house with us I"ll get their box springers later as they won't fit with the mattress in the loft. Son is excited his loft will be finished soon. I'm excited to all be living under the same roof. Hubby is off next week so shed will be complete by then. Moving right along!

Youngest daughter came with me to get the mattresses. We stopped at the Dollar Store for cleaner and she said she was hungry. She grabbed some canned cheese, wheat crackers and some pepperoni. Awww. makes me proud! I have vienna sausages and peanuts POWER LUNCH! I just love it when food energizes me and fuels the body instead of making me lethargic and miserable.

Dragon - my moon time is here too. Totally surprised me! No PMS, NO cramps and NO WEIGHT GAIN!~? Could this really be possible??? I hope my moon time continues to get better each month. It was draining me.

                  Re: Good Sunday Morning

Evening all... had an intensely busy day so I just got on. Down yet another pound today.... sooner or later I'm going to have a day where I go back up, but for right now I'm feeling good. I made the Atkins chocolate truffles recipe. Wowsers. You would never, ever know that they were legal . I used the sweetfreeze stuff, and they are outstanding. They also have maybe a carb each since I'm using the liquid stuff.
