  • Friday, LIVE STRONG

    Good morning, it's friday! Whew.

Today is a good day. I hope all of you have a strong day. I hope you choose STRONG. I love the LIVESTRONG bracelets. That means something to me, livestrong! Today I am going to livestrong and I will have a strong life. Today I choose to make strong good healthy choices. Those choices will support my life today. Today I will make bold steps with exercise, and that too will support me today. As I deal strongly with my body, my body will grow strong and be there for me, along side of me, not weighing me down, or holding me back...my body will be stronger and leaner, and will support my efforts in the world today...

it's Friday! Yah! I think I was sleeping by 8:30 last night! Hubby has the chance to change jobs. This is a hard decision as he has been with his other job for 14+ years. The emotional eating monster is attacking me at every corner. So, I laid in the bed and ZZZZZ, I was out! This morning will be lots of prayers and waiting to see their offer. I'm okay now.. it will be after hubby makes the decision. Then the attack will start. The tapes will play "was this a good move? Was it the right thing to do? WHAT HAS HE DONE??" ack! I assure you I will be strong. Yesterday my protein was so low. The carbs and fat were good. But I was so tired and I'm sure it was due to not eating correctly. Will do better today!

    LIVESTRONG - I like that!

THis weekend wil be a weekend to do nothing. Im still not feeling well. My daughters baptism was last weekend, which meant a full night of cooking. Sunday I got an absess on my tooth and it BALLOONED way up. Was vomitting a few days, and still feel sick. I dont think Ill ever get over this cold. Last night the absess seemed to be swelling up again. But today is a new day, and I to am going to try my best to make the best decisions. I have a lot of outdoor stuff I want to do as long as its not raining yet...cold rainy yucky morning today. Anyway, were just doing family stuff here at home. It should be fun. I found some neat recipes to try through the week, and will do my best to stick to my plan.

          Re: Friday, LIVE STRONG

          Rachel,
Just this morning, my husband and I were talking about have a strong mind. Avoiding distractions that only upset us...He listens to talk radio, and heard about a very distrubing incident, and of course got so upset, so much so, He came home, and sat there for half an hour being furious and decided to move all our accounts to another bank, and his overreactions just lead me to dispear...I saw it coming....he calmed down and we weighted and measured our personal experience with our band, opposed to this incident that would not even touch us! He calmed, we're staying.
This morning He realized his need to strengthen his mind, and stay focused and to not allow emotions to rule over his world and take him out...
Our mind defeats if we let it...It is certainly the first thing i have to address in the day, my very own mindset that is effected by tiredness or the state of things...once this honeymoon wears off, we have to deal constantly with our state of mind and attitude....hard work!!!!

Thanks, Jess! yes, the honeymoon is over and now is the work part. Am I up for it? You bet!! Is it frustrating? YOU BET! But, I am committed and want this to work. I NEED this to work. I will use Fitday for a full week and then see what the scale says. I may need a review of menus or to go down to rung 1 and start again - I'm not understanding as I had no problems up until a few weeks ago. The scale just will not move! The inches seem to be - will measure soon. I'm stronger than I think.. I will wait this out! But gosh, when you are doing it right.. it gets so frustrating! I have a lot to lose and feel like at this point it should be melting off! TOM may have some to do with it. We shall see!

              Hi everyone!

Day 4 went well, although I did get hit by the 'omg hungry' cravings around 4 yesterday, so I guess I'm not quite past the flu hump yet. Still nothing major though, which is utterly shocking. Today I brought some chicken and cucumbers with sour cream to eat at 4 so that I won't be sitting at my desk going 'ack, hungry, want food. No food in sight. What to do?!'

My weekend: high school football game tonight, hiking tomorrow, steelers game sunday. That's about it! Have to work a bunch too though, but that's okay! Hope everyone is doing well!

                        Hi everyone.

Jess, Thank you for that. And so my husband and I are going to LIVE STRONG today. We had a terrible day yesterday with thinking of a situation we are going through. So today and through the weekend, it's not going to control us. I ran to food, but I was ready with Atkins' pork rib recipe in the fridge, without the sauce. I didn't even heat it, so it's a good thing I was prepared. LOL Several bites of 0 carb food did the trick, and I made it.

Shellie, I hope you feel better soon!

Rachele, I know how hard it is not to second guess ourselves with our life decisions. I hope you have a great day.

Knickknack, you have a fun weekend planned.

                        Hi Hoosier Mommy.
