  • OMG I so need a pat on my back!

    Alright, so this evening I went over to a friends house and played cards. Please if you are hungry and tempted do NOT read on!! As soon as I got over there she was in the process of making sugar cookies. As soon as she put them in the oven I thought it was allllllll over. But then....yeah it got worse....she iced them when they were cooling. I wanted one sooooooooooo bad, but then I thought about my progress already and about my future. Then I did what any good carb watcher would do.....I guzzled. Water and water and water and more water!! IT WORKED! Soon the smell disappeared and happy me went to the bathroom. 30 times. I'm glad I made the right choice, for if I hadn't I would be crying myself to sleep instead of sitting here with deviled egg in hand typing to my fellow carbsmen.

      Way to go! Great job staying strong ~ now you can remember this in the future if you ever are tempted again ~ remember that you are strong enough!!! Woo hoo!!!

          Good for you, girl! You did EXACTLY the right thing. Temptations are always going to be around us. ALWAYS. You have to ask yourself when the temptation comes up, which is more important to you. For me, losing weight was way more important.

          Drink up and enjoy those boiled eggs. That's what is going to make you thin. Which will feel WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY better to you than that 20 seconds of cookie.

              AWESOME! It was hard at first.. but as the weight comes off it gets easier to say "heck no! and ruin all the work I have done!?"

                  Jaime, I am so proud of you...You've got the power...the cookie tried to take your self control away, and you held fast, held firm...that just boosted everything inside you didn't it...You feel proud, you feel stronger, you feel more in control, you feel like you were able to hold out for what you REALLY want, which is to get back your body, your choices....

                            I am so proud of you. This is what it is about, for sure. This is your new way of life. Yes, you will miss the sugar cookies on occasion, but think of what you WILL have. Pretty darn good food, yes, and a super slim, awesomely tempting, sexy, sexy, bod!

                            rung 1 - more veggies
                            rung 2 - dairy (some milk in coffee)
                            rung 3 - seeds, nuts (mostly sprinkled on salads)
                            rung 4 - berries, melon
                            rung 5 - wine -
                            rung 6 - beans, hummus
                            rung 7 - other fruits
                            rung 8 - carrots/ potatoes (nah, prolly not)
                            rung 9 - whole grains (fresh Dutch breads...)
                            Major Goal - 128 lbs/ healthy range
                            (on to pre-maintenance)
