  • Monday, Monday....

    Morning everyone!

    Since no one started a monday thread yet, I figured I would! How is everyone today? Glad to be back at work? NOT!

    I did really well this weekend on the food. Didn't have a single food that wasn't a 'good' food (keep in mind that I'm not doing a strictly perfect induction), although I did have a couple low-carb beers at the football game. Since I get the chance to go to steelers games like once a year, I figured that was okay. It didn't kick me out of ketosis or anything, since I kept up my pee-once-an-hour rate and don't feel any poofier today or anything. so yay!

    So, anyone have any strategies for how to get through monday without falling asleep halfway through it? :P

    Good Job KnicKnack! As most of you know I had a test of "the power" this weekend as well and I denied iced sugar cookies on Friday, and brownies on Saturday. So that brings me to your question of how to stay awake today.....well I lost 5 more pounds!!!!!!! I was pretty worried since this is about my 3rd go round of Atkins that I wouldn't lose as quick, but I think I have lost more this time (so far in induction) than I have in any other try. Had to brag to someone, so might as well be my ADBB pals first right?!!!

          Morning all. Fairly stiff from yesterday's run but I still crawled out of bed and excercised. Steps were the worst this morning. Down a pound so yesterday's push was worth it. I'm at 38 pounds now. Hate Mondays

            Hey everyone...sounds like a lot of WILL power was employed this weekand and even more is needed to jazz up monday...Monday is a recovery day, I think if it is a recovery day for you from your weekend, it should be all about, "HOLDING ON TO WHAT YA GOT-DAY" then make Tues. a "GO-FOR-IT" Day...

            HOLD ON TO YOUR success from the weekend. RECOVER from extra activities or exercise. Make it a day where you go it a little quieter or slower, mentally planning for a big TUES...A Go-for it, TAKE GROUND DAY
            That's what I'd do, I would accept I don't have the energy or motivation on this day, and I need to make it all about holding on to routines...
            If you rested Sunday and feel rested, CHARGE on out there!!!
            So, it's sorta HOLD IT, or TAKE IT (new ground that is)

                Hmph. Steelers lost. And, to make it worse, going to the game gave me my cold back. How is that for justice? Hmph! :P

                I'm trying desperately to do any work at all today, I need some motivation!!! :P

                  Morning all! Happy Monday!

                  Way to go everyone on their losses... and for staying strong over the weekend! Seems so quiet around here on the weekends... and now today there are tons of posts! I guess that means everyone had busy weekends!

                  I like what you wrote, Jess ~ today will be a GO FOR IT! day for me... this weekend was about rest & thinking for me. Today i am back on track with the exercise. Trying a new Firm video and trying to eat more veggies...

                  Desertthorn ~ the Seahawks won! Of course everyone was watching that game yesterday, here in Spokane...

                    My weekend started out rough. DH found his deer yesterday morning. Took the oldest DD to Sunday School and my girls and I went to church. It was a different experience with no help, but I made it....and quite frankly enjoyed it. My absess cae back, and had a pretty rough induction flu yesterday...but once again I held strong. Today my mouth is feeling better, and called about looking at a house. Realtor wont be in for a few days. So, its just the house cleaning and me. Oh...big thing that erks me. Expedition had to be dropped off this morning to get some paint work done, and I wont have it for a week. That means anytime we all go somewhere, we have to take 2 cars. (both of the ones we have here are trucks. My DH has a big lifted truck which can be fun to drive, but its not very infant carrier friendly. I have to almost lift her over my head to get her in the base. Not fun. It should give my arms a workout this week though lol. Ok, enough rambling. Oh yeah....yesterday I was up.2 and today I am down 2.8 from that! See it works when you work it.
