  • Tuesday: at least it isn't monday!

    How is everyone doing today?

    Things going well here, day 8 and going strong. No cravings, no hunger. Even skipped my morning snack yesterday, although I don't think I'll do that today since I'm feeling a little noshy already and it's only 8:30! I just ate! :P

    Doing well on the diet today. I'm not quite hungry yet, but I went to the store yesterday and am totally stocked up on yummy allowed foods. I put a roast in the slow cooker last night that is going to be delicious tonight. Bad thing, I'm sick today!!! I'm coughing and my throat feels tight. Yuck! Any suggestions on how to kick this bad boy cold?

      I was really queasy this morning... not sure why. I was also down a pound and a half, so I'll take queasy . Got a good run in this morning, and I'm a half pound away from 40 pounds gone. So I'm in a pretty good mood for a Tuesday!

        I've had that icky cold for a week myself. It went away on sunday after I slept literally ALL DAY on saturday, but then came back sunday night. Maybe I picked up a second cold, it's possible!

          Morning not so good. Computer having a mind of it's own. Not a good thing when I need it to work from home. GRRR. Coffee down. Thinking about breakfast. Should it be taco soup... or chicken chow mein.. decisions, decisions.

          Paul - that is awesome!!!! Can you feel it now?? Fitday was great yesterday.. hoping for another day like that again.

            Rachel, that is the grossest breakfast choice I've ever heard of. I'm having salami for breakfast, lol.

              I feel thinner, I just don't feel like I LOOK thinner. Oh, I can see it some in my face and legs. But when I look at the area between my neck and my knees I'm still fairly repulsive . I know I've lost weight in that area because I went down a pants size, my shirts are much looser, my belt is 3 notches in, etc; I just can't see it in the mirror yet. Part of it too is that I've got some loose skin going, and that doesn't help.

                Don't be surprised if people look at you funny and just think something is different but yet they don't know what it is.. haircut? shirt? shaved? something...

                I think being overweight for a long time, I fail to see the changes that others see. Then we lose weight and people tell us we have lost too much - since they are use to seeing us so larger. Crazy!

                  I always get this pattern:

                  I whoooosh,and then I feel like I look skinnier. I can see it in my entire body. Then, I bloat back up again til the next whooooosh and during that time i feel fat again. Then I whoosh and feel skinnier again, ad nauseum. It's really annoying, but if you know the pattern you won't feel so down when you start to feel fat again! :P

                    Good morning all, I was out of the house at 7:30, had to speak the our church's bible college...I loved it, I was able to to my motivational deal there too....
                    Paul, man you are so close to 40 pounds...that's great...
                    Every body else hanging in there? Bumping along...
                    Rachel, a break thru is coming, you are just hitting some resistence, but you are strong, you have a lot of time logged here, take a walk, clear your head, March is a good ways away...It's happening inside where you can't see and you are keeping the out side together!!!!

                      Actually, I had a mixture of the two. ONe cup of cauliflower, mashed, with 1 cup of taco soup. The cauliflower seemed to give it the substance it was lacking yesterday. MMM, so good! Kinda tastes like chili, the cauliflower being the beans

                      Tonight is Bonko and my friend is cooking shrimp spag, but is steaming me some shrimp so I can have a shrimp salad MMM Can hardly wait!

                        Hello all! I had that crazy cold last week. Starting to actually feel better. Today I did some cleaning, because with showing our house, and moving hopefully soon....it'll be a nightmare. Hoping all goes well and we can be outta here by the end of the year. Today Im down another 1.4 so Im happy to be seeing things moving along. Still trying to kick the coffee....water is getting better as well. Dh will be home early today so he could probably pick up DD from school. She was excited because it was her snack day. I didnt since I couldnt leave the house to get it till almost 10 lol. Anyway, its been a good day today...day3 and very happy about it!

                          This week has just been crap! Problems with apartments galore...I think that's what getting me down. I know my lack of loss this week is either just a stall or due to stress (been eating too much Taco Soup to cope! Ahhh!)

                          Tonight I will make brocolli and cheese casserole (with chicken) and package up all leftovers BEFORE I start eating this time. That way it will be cold in the fridge when I want more, not so tasty Maybe that will work.

                          Been tough...but I'm hanging in there!

                              I love those no hunger/cravings days. Unfortunately, today is not one of those days. I have been STARVING all day. I had some pepperoni sticks and cheese for breakfast, Lunch was cucumbers, radishes, celery with cream cheese, and a couple vienna sausages. I thought I was going to die before I got outta work and got home to eat supper. I had a Ribeye steak, a handful of pork rinds, a couple more pepperoni sticks and am still looking in the cabinets. I have had about nine 16oz waters today. I finally made myself come to the boards and STEP AWAY FROM THE FOOD!
