Hello you amazing STACer...Today is going to be a great day. I can just feel it. It's a day where we will continue our journey into our new lives...Life filled with control, structure, order, strength, and health...A life that is active, pursuing goals and achieving more than we have in years!

I am stunned by how well I feel, how strong my life is getting. Some days I wake up and I have nothing to say, and i feel bored a touch, but then I start to think where I was, and where I am...oh man, do I start to get excited.

Forget about the small picture, look at the big one...Life, and living it again...Daily following through on the structures of Akins, renews our confidence. Daily drinking water renews our creativeness and determination. Planning, preparing, and eating better foods, gives fuel.. Exercise releases endorphines and renews that "take charge" attitude...

It's amazing and awesome...Some are in survival mode, soon that will pass, some are in a plateau mode, and soon it will pass...some of you are buzzing so fast and even that will pass...
We are all being renewed somewhere and that is awesome!

    Re: Wed check-in

Morning all....another good day. I thought I was gonna gain today because I feel so swollen but I went down another 2. The deer my hubby hit, got just a bit in the liver. We had just two packs of steaks left, and the rest is to be ground. Well the meat was stinky. I found that out after cooking it. I didnt have time to go to the store, so hubby went to BK. Well needless to say I got more veggies in than I was supposed to. My family got their usual and I got a whopper and took the bread and ketchup off. I didnt even really care that I couldnt have fries. So I ate a cup of cauliflower with it instead. I was supposed to have salad since I had green beans, but I made it and now nobody was eating it. So it turned out to be a good day after all. Tonight were looking at a house so that will be fun, this is the one hubby thinks he really wants. I like it too. Anyway, Im off to start a whole new day!!

      Re: Wed check-in

      Hi everyone.

I'm kind of bummed today. I bought one of those scales that tells you your body fat % as well as your weight, and UGH. I just guessed on my start weight since I didn't have a scale last week, see. So, The actuality of it is that I've lost quite a bit of weight in the last week (I can tell because of how my clothes fit), and I'm a lot higher than I thought I would be. Ugh.

The other thing is that I'm 36.5% body fat. I almost died when I saw that. So, well, yeah.

I guess it shouldn't matter so much, but for some reason having confirmation of my stupidity in the last year is really bumming me out. I should be happy that I'm doing something about it but it just seems like the hill got so much steeper. *sigh*

So, oh well. At least I'm getting there.

I'm changing my signature so that it reads i was 5 pounds heavier last week, even if I don't actually know my start weight. Maybe that'll make me feel better. HA!

Morning all. I officially hit the 40 pound mark this morning which makes me feel pretty good. I'll bevery happy when I hit 50, but I still have to face the realization that I've got a long journey ahead.

Schellie, way to go, thinking on your feet...
Knickknack: girl, you know the drill....I have this theory about when to zoom in and when to zoom out..I think you need to zoom in and just work on the structure you are re-building...let the numbers and that big picture, sit on a shelf...it's very disheartening what we have allowed to happen to ourselves, but YOU ARE NOT THERE NOW, you have moved past that sad place and are structuring and building a new place, and YOU are going to the beach for Christmas and wow, to walk the beach, to look out and say and see how far you have come...Focus there today, what do you want active in your life at that time...I look at places like that all the time, and what I want to be like then...Zoom out to that, and focus on the wonderful structure that will take you there....
Paul, the amazing looser that you are, you are almost half way to goal...and you have daily exercise happening, and stairs, and building a new life and wait til all of that goodness HITS YOU, you will be unstoppable...
Rachel.>>>>where are you girl...you are always up and attem early, is the puter down???

I'm here! I had bonko last night and ended up being so hyped up I didn't get to sleep until midnight. Six o'clock comes really early the next morning. I'm busy with work and just now getting to check the board. The scale is moving lower.. dunno if it was water weight I gained or actual weight. Undecided if it's muscle I'm building or what. I'm watching carefully and pluggin along and chugging water. Hopefully the scale will move in my favor this week and I will know what my culprit it. I want so bad to hit that 25 pound gone mark. Something about 25 pounds GONE. Friends could tell last night that I was losing and that was a great plus even if the scale is bobbing around. I'm not missing the berries as much as I thought I would. Guess the weight comign off is more important

                  Hey all!

Jess, I hope you have a great day. I feel a great day starting as well. I know I am going to feel great until...well, I'll up that goal to Monday!

Schellie, Congratulations on your two pounds! I had too many veggies yesterday too. I had a cup of mushrooms and then made some soup with more mushrooms and onions and ate a lot of it. I was down 2 also. I'm hoping that's a good sign for when I move to the veggie rung.

KnickKnack, You'll be seeing the body fat move in the right direction soon.

                  TammyJo, 32! Congratulations!

Paul, Congratulations on your 40 lb. loss! That's terrific!

Rachele, That's so cool your friends noticed your weight loss! I can't wait for that.

I lost 2 pounds today and 1 yesterday. However, I had gone up 8 pounds! I did not cheat. At least I don't think an honest mistake is a cheat. I ate sausage that had CORN SYRUP SOLID in it. I freaked out about this internally, but remained calm and stayed on Induction plan while the scales didn't move for a week. I knew it had to eventually. I had told my husband to watch for ingredients ending in "ol" and sugar, but not corn syrup solid. It was expensive and we couldn't take it back, so thought perhaps all sausage had this ingredient. He gained a few pounds from it as well. We are going to really watch and if we buy the wrong thing, we will try to throw it out or give it to a neighbor. All is good again.

I worded this wrong. I meant to say I thought perhaps all the sausage we have been eating had this ingredient. A little difference there. I know all does not.
