Hi all. Just a little problem/quick question. What do you do with yourself when you're bored? I mean I used to smoke or eat and now I quit smoking and won't eat carby snacks. It's like if I go to have a drink with a friend (which I won't do now that I'm back on Atkins) and don't know what to do with my hands because I used to always smoke...same thing goes with sitting at my desk at work.

Re: No Vices? What to do?
I have a resistance band in my desk drawer to stretch when I get bored and antsy, plus a stairwell I can go up and down. Without that, I'd probably have pulled my hair out by now.~Susan

Re: No Vices? What to do?
I usually read the board messages, walk my dogs, or paint (when I am not working, of course)...during work, I scan the board, look through magazines or write in my journal... anything to keep the hands moving and away from the carbs and wine!F 32 5'7"

Re: No Vices? What to do?
I like to work out when I'm bored or stressed--by the time I'm done I'm relaxed and thankful to do nothing but chill out
)
If I'm unable to do that, I love to visit ADBB, read the news, or just "window shop" online--but sometimes that leads to me "really shopping" online.... hrmm...START 8/16/06 @ 270+~MG1: 220-12/2/06~MG2: 210-1/07~MG3: 199-3/2/07~MG4: 190-4/27/07~MG5: 180-7/04/07~GOAL: 170

Re: No Vices? What to do?
I had this prob too. 4 yrs ago when I quit smoking, I ate more, I dont drink, smoke, or eat mindlessly now so what to do with my free minutes here and there???
I write in a journal. Its helped me so much. It started out being a journal about how I feel about myself, where I wanna be, etc, to keep me on track but its turned into just an anything goes journal. Journaling really is theraputic!!! I feel just as good mentally after journaling as i feel physically after exerciseing. Both just recharge you! Im becoming healthier mentally as well as physically
