Good Sunday morning, IT'S A NEW DAY

I am up early, gotta get a big bike ride in for the day. Yesterday we looked at bikes and I might get my big 50th birthday present very, very early!!! A new bike. We shall see if we can swing it..it's on hold, and it's a great bike on sale...My husband found this baby all by himself! So it's rewarding to be so supported, just like Rache'l's hubby getting her keto sticks to check for ketosis. I am sure alot of you are being supported, how incredible...Maybe some of you are going it alone and your support is here, and some of you might be living in the middle of carb havens trying to cope...you my friends will be the strongest, and most aware, because you have to over come things right in front of you. BUT, ITS A NEW DAY!
Each of us face our own present day situations...and each of us carries a vision of changing and getting in a healthier place. Some of us are flying high and some of us are scraping by... But all of us, carry a vision of a new day in our lives, a new weight, new habits, new levels of achievement...PRESS toward YOUR VISION...Go after it with all you have... ITS A NEW DAY! Prepare to be totally and completely successful today...Foods in order, water in order, exercise planned and executed! All of these actions move your right towards your vision.
My hats off the Rachel, in her other thread she shares about finding out why she is not loosing weight, she is not in ketosis...I love her courage, she got up and when looking and found out the first bit of hard to handle news, not in ketosis, and then she will start bumping back down until she is in...
That's what she will do in pre-maintenance, and maintenance...that's what we will all do, monitor our situation, calculate, watch over things alot more intensely than we are here...
All our newbies, keep your selves focused, and build your structure and that structure will support your vision and help you achieve it. Keep your vision in front of you, visit your goals, make every attempt to move towards them. Regardless of the scales, do all your plan and you will be stronger, and stronger, and the weight will follow...I'd rather be strong and committed to the program than thin right now...If I don't have the character under neath the program, it's all gonna crash one day... I want to be a GOALIE!!!!
Today starts my 3rd month...Wow, 2 down and 10 to go to meet my biggest goal, to be here a year, to be at goal in a year...as I get closer to that, i will start setting goals for this time next yr...IT'S A NEW DAY, HOPE DREAM BELEIVE!

Re: Sunday morning, checkin and new day

Wow, Jess - fantastic post! Very inspirational. Today is a mommentous occasion for me too. Today marks 9 full months since I quit smoking! Talk about working towards a vision and a goal.... Acheiving that goal feels like a miracle!!

Now that the weight I gained while quitting is finally mostly off, I'm moving towards uncharted territory in my weight loss. I don't think I've weighed less than 150 pounds since freshman year of college! By Halloween, my goal is to weigh 146 lbs. Just saying that runs a chill down my spine and fills me with wonder. Can it really be done????

You bet it can be done - or at least that's what Dr. Atkins would tell me! I've just got to hang on and believe. Just like I had to believe all the ex-smokers at Quitnet.com who promised me it would get easier, I now put my faith in the success of everyone here at ADBB. It works, you all tell me. Just follow the rules and it will work. No magic. No trick. No secret initiation. Just stick to the plan.

So lets all get out there today and do the impossible!

Thanks, Jess! The support and understanding here is just amazing! I knew yall could relate to my frustrations and would be there to celebrate with me.

I'm eager to work towards getting into ketosis. I'm eager to see that scale moving again and have that wonderful feeling that I am doing something spectacular for my body and health.

Off to church.. gotta go iron my pants and decide which shirt to wear. Life is good!

Hey there, "believe"...girl you are rockin, got your own motivation going here and pumping it up...We need more cheerleaders around, can never be short of positive motivational type stuff...There room for everyone's voice, room for another clap, another cheer, always room for more "go get em's"...
Thanks, "believe" for sharing your outlook, you are gonna succede because you are after it!!! You are putting your belief into action, and that is FAITH! faith is action in what you believe...going for it regardless of what you are seeing now, knowing what you want to see is coming, as you work it...

            Hello! How is everyone?

Jess, Congratulations for all your work you have done, and now on to the third month! As always, I enjoy your posts.

Paul, Oh, have fun at that game, and go away rain!

Susan, You are so right to have faith in the Atkins' diet. You are almost there!

Rachel, You will be in Ketosis before you know it.

I feel great today, so will be doing the never ending house cleaning. I am making a grocery list for tomorrow, and I am going to make a yummy flax meal Induction cookie. I would type more, but my the pain in my wrists is bad today and better not make it worse. I start another month long treadmill challenge today, along with many other goals that are listed in my journal. I'll be around here today reading. Have a great day and talk to you all later. Babs

Re: Sunday morning, checkin and new day

              Hi Everyone,

Yesterday was a doozie, but today is better!!! Moved alot of furniture and boxes out of one of our rooms so that it can be plastered and painted...has to look pretty for potential buyers! Strained something in my back so not sure if I will get to the treadmill today, which means I have to add today's mile to tomorrow for the treadmill challenge that started today (may do it slowly today, will have to see how back is after getting off the heating pad)!!!!

Anyway, gotta run...sorry cannot type more... but packing/cleaning is kicking my butt!!! Still very tired as it is day 5 of Induction... when is this burst of energy suppose to happen??? I forget and could really use it right now!!!!

              Talk to everyone later

Re: Sunday morning, checkin and new day

Hi all! Just my Sunday check-in. Today is the final day of my 14-day Induction. I feel WONDERFUL. I went ahead and weighed and measured today instead of tomorrow, so I can start weighing in on Sundays every week (except for the Weigh, No Way challenge weeks). I have decided that extended induction is going to be the best for me at this point. My scales did not move, and I have lost 1 inch at each measuring point. I'm happy with the progress I have made so far. This is a lifestyle change, after all, so I need to accept that it's a long process.....and not a quick fix. My exercise routine is getting a major pump up with the October mileage challenge, and it's going to be great. The energy has been bottled up long enough! WooHoo October!!!!!
