  • It's Monday

Hey guys it's monday as if you didn't know.
I hope everyone is doing very well. I am exhausted today, and I start my classroom visits in elementary today, I am looking for that inner drive and motivation to make it happen, do you know where I left that at?

I am clinging to my structure and routines to see me through this morning, I just exercised, and am surprised how much better I did than I thought I would have energy for.

We really are building a base of strength within ourselves to will and do. It is then being added to bodies that are getting stronger, can go longer, on less food. Our skin is in better shape because of the water, and our clarity is strong. We can do more things now, because of the strength streaming into our lives...IT IS SO TRUE!
I encourage you to touch that strong part within yourself today. That strong new person, those stronger legs, those clearer eyes, and brighter mindset. Touch that!
I am leaning way into my new strengths and committments today...

      Good morning everyone!

Jess, I have almost finished reading your journal from start to finish, so I know the children are going to love you!

Rachel, You are so good with this way of eating. I hope the color turns for you. Starting a new job is a different type of excitement--like you say, a nervous wreck. I'll be waiting to hear how it goes.

Okay, digging deep and finding that strong me inside! Thank you Jess, for reminding me that there may be times when that me is not readily visible, but that it's always there, just waiting for me to look around a bit for it!

Thanks, Babs. I'm just tired of being overweight. I want this to be my way of eating for life. I know it works. I know I can do it. I WANT to do it Some days are hard, some are easy. Atkins is so different for each person. It's a learning process. I'm learning just how stubborn I really am LOL

            Re: It's Monday

            hi folks!

well, i've officially ended my two week induction, and I can say that my clothes are *definitely* baggier. According to the scale I haven't lost an ounce in the last week though (or any body fat, or any water) so I think the scale is on crack. :P I didn't weigh myself the day I started but I'm sure I've lost some weight. We'll see.

My boyfriend told me that my previously tight jeans make me look like i have a diaper on now, which made me QUITE happy even though it was a silly thing to say. so yay! I'm on track and moving forward. Not weighing again til Friday, we'll see how it goes!

Yep! If only my scale supported this theory. I hope I didn't spend 50$ on a busted scale!

                  Re: It's Monday

Hi everyone. I'm not too good at daily postings but happen to be home today and popped in to say hi.

It's nice to read of everyone's successes and motivation. Thankfully, for now I am looking at this for the long term which really helps, especially if there are any slight deviations. You just say okay, that's over, back to the plan now ... and it works!!

Hope it's a great day and night for everybody! Enjoy!

                    Re: It's Monday

I weighed myself, which I swore I wouldn't do. I had gained 2 pounds. I am now officially in funksville. *sigh* I felt like I was good this weekend, so I'm not sure why or where I picked them up. I did have chicken wings on Saturday but not a ton, and I don't think they had anything I couldn't eat on them. Maybe my ratios were off, or maybe I picked up extra weight because I changed my excercise. Either way... bad morning for me. And then to top it off I did the one thing I shouldn't have... I slacked on my excercise. I didn't do it. Grrr. Bad me.

Paul, there is always a positive to everything. My kids groan when I say that, but it's true. Atkins is mental and physical. They work together. Sorry the scale did not move.. but it may tomorrow or the next .. and you just may get a whoosh. And even if you don't.. look how far you have come already! You are almost 1/2 way to goal! wow!

Take a break to take care of the mental part today. You deserve it!

Mondays are just tough. I'm starting over today and can't wait until my energy picks up like it did last time (hopefully). I was almost an hour late this morning to work, just couldn't wake up. I am ready for the day now though. I hope everyone has a wonderful day.

The only thing I can say about this Monday is that I'll have to work my butt off doing cardio and weights...had a lot to eat yesterday...but at least it was all relatively healthy stuff. I DID however, drink about 140 oz. of water yesterday. Needless to say, I've been peeing like a racehorse...

I think the people I work with think I'm crazy I go to the bathroom so much. I'm constantly filling my water bottle/cup or going to the bathroom.

Me too! The people at work think I'm really strange when I eat lunch...I've only told a couple people I'm on atkins...to everyone else I've told them I gave up sugar and caffiene...that's what they can handle. They'd flip out and give me the misinformed sermon/speech about atkins.

So they seem me eating meat and vegetables...or the lunch meat out of sandwiches...cheese off of pizza...and gallons and gallons of water. Ahh, that's the life, huh? )
