Re: Five pounds by Halloween challenge

Hmm, dind't know there was another challenge. Jess made this one up. The 5 pounds since we are all STACers and it tends to come of more slowly. Then we heard about the no weigh challenge and we are greedy so we decided to join that one too LOL I cannot weigh for two weeks and have 5 pounds to lose! It sure is keeping me legal and exercising though.

Can you believe that!? Nine pounds!! Whoo hooo! I seriously thinking of putting that scale away for 2 more weeks and shoot for 6 more pounds by Nov 1. I also may shoot for 7 more days of exercise. Which reminds me.. I still have to do mine for TODAY! I certainly don't want to slack NOW!

              Rachel/Jamie/Jess - y'aa are kikkin @ss!!

I've started wondering, because of the drastic slowdown in my weight loss rate the last 2-3 months, whether perhaps it is my destiny to reach a final weight more appropriate for my age than the goal I set based on my college days. My mother recently said to me I shouldn't need to try to lose much more, too. And last week I noticed a 5'7" newbie with her goal set to around my mini-goal... hmmm. Feedback appreciated...

Anyway, enough pondering for the moment:
I have (tentatively) lost another pound - to 178 - which if is still gone tomorrow will be officially in my siggy.
P.S. I'm soooo jealous of all you big losers!!

Re: Five pounds by Halloween challenge

boonie girl, what is your height, I mean you have had a dramatic weightloss from your pictures..How tall are you...
How do you feel inside, about yourself and out side about yourself? I just picked a number, I turn 50 this yr. I don't know what in the world to pick...I think if I make it to 140 people will be screaming anornexia....but, I think i will reach a place that feels right and maintains easily... but you are so far ahead of me...
I am shocked by my loss, I really am I work out alot, and eat less than I use to for sure....I am so focused on lifestyle, getting the ater in, the food in and the exercise that the scales are just not something i can control...

Re: Five pounds by Halloween challenge

Boonie, I think your body will pick the weight it wants to be at. last time i got to goal I kept losing and losing, my body just wanted to get back to high school weight it seemed. I'm 5'7 as well, and I figure I'll just get as skinny as my body wants. I know that sounds silly, but well, it's just a different way of looking at things. If you're slowing down, that might not indicate that you should stop though, just keep on keeping on and you'll either lose more or you won't.

Re: Five pounds by Halloween challenge

OOPS guess I should have left siggy in that... I'm 5'7" and will be 46 in 3 weeks. Once upon a time, when I was a spring chicken, people said I should diet when I weighed 145, but now at just under 180, I'm hearing how great I look so it's confusing... Somewhere in the depths of my giant time capsule full of clothes that someday must fit me again before I die is a pair of light blue velvet hot short shorts from when I weighed 125 that haven't seen light of day since high school.
Now, I'd just like not to have to wear this winter the same clothes I wore last winter; at least they are looser than they were in Feb this year, but I'm only now back to the weight I was last fall before gaining almost 10 lb/month eating junk carbs.

That reminder having freshened things up in my mind, I guess I better NOT EVER STOP THIS WOL!!! I'd die in no time gaining that way on junk - probably 3 years or less!

I'm making a pot roast, which I will eat with cauliflower. Maybe I should spice it up with some mustard and horseradish. Wonder how that would taste? ha!
