  • Induction Flu

UGH UGH UGH is all I can say. I restarted induction on Thursday, and like magic, here's day 3 and I feel disgusting. I'm hoping this will only last a day--that's what has happened in the past. I thought for sure I wouldn't feel so cruddy, because I was only at about 35 carbs a day.

Oh well, I'll keep drinking my water and take some motrin or something.

Man, I don't feel like doing anything, and I was supposed to go running today. Maybe I'll settle for a long walk, that won't be so jarring.

Any tips on what I can do to alleviate the suffering

I know, some folks really get hit with the flu and others seem to just not know what we're talking about. Drink lots of water and an asprine if needed. I woke up yesterday with a cold and all those nasty symptoms so I can feel for you.

        Re: Induction Flu

I think you have to get your carbs down to 20 grams to get yourself into ketosis, so if you aren't there in a day or two, check how many carbs you are taking in, DANDR says, 20 during induction..
I am so happy you moved thru the flu! Fantastic, you can have a great weekend now
