    e.coli in lettuce now? Bah!

Just a little FYI, they've found e.coli in bagged lettuce too now. So, if you bought any lettuce this week, I'd throw it out to make sure it isn't being recalled.

No lettuce, no spinach. now what? :P

Oh no. It's bagged lettuce now? They showed a head of iceberg on our news, so I didn't want to watch until we ate dinner tonight from the head we have been eating off of for a couple of days. I'm ready to give spinach a try again though. What next? I better not ask. LOL

Actually, a meat packing company in, either Idaho or Iowa (I think) is recalling ground beef because of E. Coli.

well, i went to the store yesterday and they had spinach from canada, so THAT was good. yay! I think anything in the store is okay now, the recalls are all in effect. AT least, that's what I'm hoping! :P

Is/was it in the packing process (bagged lettuce) or heads and all? And just california lettuce...yeah it's time for a garden.

It was from cow manure from cows next to the fields the spinach was in, and I assume the lettuce too since it was the same area. So, bagging is okay as far as I know!

Two people in Toronto are in hospital due to botulism poisoning from tainted carrot juice. They did a follow-up story on the news and some of the tainted products are still on the shelves! So those who don't watch the news may be in trouble.

I don't drink it, but still.....it's a conspiracy! Apparently, the only thing that won't kill you immediately is Twinkies!!

Maybe all the chemicals in them will actually preserve us

That carrot juice thing was very scary! Especially since the stores didn't pull it..and apparently they were all told.

Just goes to show you that 'organic' isn't always better. The carrot juice in question here was organic
