Queen? Well.. okay.. since we call my daughter the Prin-cess all the time LOL

Doing good so far.. cup of coffee, mug of water... working... I feel like I have lost a ton of weight! Hurry NEXT WEEK! ARGH. This is just driving me crazy - but I do like the idea of the scale not controlling me.

Last night was pizza and Lost night. I make Chef-Boy-R-De pizzas for them and one for me on a wheat tortilla. MMMM, scrumptious! Fully loaded with bacon bits, pepperoni, cheese, onions and peppers! Mine looked soo darn good. Need to get to the store and get some more veggies!

ya know who we have not heard from? The cruise man himself, Paul! Paul, where are you?? Maybe I'm overlooking his posts in error?

Paul's grandmother died and he and his mother were able to make it bedside last week before she died and then He stayed and helped out for a few days. He reported back in, over the weekend I think. I am sure he is just trying to catch up from everything...He was unable to exercise and that frustrated him...soon that guy is gonna run a half marathon, that was his big goal....next yr.

          Hello...
I'm so glad it's Thursday, because that means TOMORROW IS FRIDAY! Yayyyyy. I took a monster dose of vitamins because I think I'm getting sick--all of my students have been hacking and coughing for weeks, so I guess it's about time I caught something. Hopefully I'll be able to beat it without totally becoming ill.

Drink your water ) and have a great day!

Good morning STACers! Great to see everyone so hyped up and ready to go. So sorry to hear about Paul's grandma.

Day 2 is going well Jess! I'm ready to take on day 3. I have done a lot better with resisting temptation these past two days. Because of the thyroid issues I'm still not feeling my best by evening, so my preparation is lacking. I really need to pre-make some things for breakfast and lunch. I was all excited last night - I bought two heads of lettuce (I love salad) and thought I would pre-make some taco salad for today, but NO - both heads of lettuce were bad on the inside.

And, I must tell you all - its SNOWING! I am so not ready for the snow.

Hey all! I'm checkin in too! so I'm still showing a 10lb loss this morning..guess I expect to see that evil scale start jumping around but so far it hasn't..and I'm only on day five today (and cheat free yippeee) I feel great today, yesterday I felt like crap--headache, tired etc, maybe I'm entering into ketosis....had my two eggs and mayo for breakfast and 33oz of water so far. I have to get into the vitamin habit, I keep forgetting them...going to take them now. My Atkins book should be here in two days I got the shipping notice, and I need advice on getting my foods to equal the 30% protein ratio, mine is more like 40-50% you can see from my fitday link....guess more veggies need to get in there too...

                  Morning!

Let's see..... what can I say that is inspiring? Well, I think bacon is always inspiring and I had that for breakfast! :P That and a big ole liter of water.

I feel like I'm not losing weight although my pants are practically falling off of me. I'm not really doing everything super correctly, and I'm sure that's probably why. I think I need to go back to strict induction for a bit, to try to convince myself that this is working. Isn't that silly? My pants are falling off of me and I'm worried that I'm not losing anything. ha!

I'm doing good on the no-weigh challenge, although oddly enough it's making me want to cheat since I won't be able to see the effects of a cheat. :P

Haven't been good on the exercise, but I got TOM yesterday and that's always an adventure. :P Tonight I'm going to the gym, and I will go tomorrow as well. We'll see!

Knickknack! GIRL YOUR PANTS are FALLING OFF???and you THINK you are not loosing.
I like the idea of going back to clean induction, and I like the idea of your pants being soooo loose...Sounds like TOM has you in it's grips...so, get away from the feelings and just concentrate on other things! LIVE ABOVE the FEELINGS!!!!
It also sounds like you are getting results...

remember when you were little, and you climbed up on someone's lap and said, "tell me that story again"...I can only hope you had enough of a good childhood to have a similar experience. I had a terrbile childhood, and yet there were a few of those stories about somethign that I loved to hear over and over again...
Are you with me so far...
So, could you tell the one about the fat cells filling up with water, creating that bloating feeling and then finally whooshie...
I know it's a 2big story, but it's something you remarked on the other day...
Please, please can you give an indepth repeat, I'll climb up in your lap and listen very intently....
                        Please, Please, Please, again????

                            Re: Thurs. morning check in

hee! Okay, climb on up and I'll tell you a story!

So, inside our bodies there live hundreds of thousands of cells, and some of these are fat cells. Alllll the cells like to be alive and functioning the way they are supposed to. But, the doctor says that the fat cells are BAD for us, so we don't actually want them to function properly!

So, we go on Atkins to try to get rid of the fat cells. This diet works because it lets our bodies use the fat cells for energy, which then makes them go away! Isn't that neat? Well, the fat cells sure don't think so. They get really mad and try as HARD as they can to stay alive. "We'll show them," they say, and fill themselves up with WATER so that we think they're still there! They fill themselves up with so much water that we even think that we've GAINED weight! "Oh no," we say, "I'm not losing weight on this diet. Look at how bloated I am!" The fat cells, meanwhile, are giggling while we're jiggling. "If we fool them into thinking we still exist, then they'll stop that silly diet and we can live on forever," they think. Well, there's no fooling us! Because we know that if we keep on atkinsing, eventually the fat cells won't be able to hold onto that water anymore and will let go! And, once they let go, the fat cells go away because they have nothing left to live for. Sad and disheartened, they disappear into the ether with a big whoooooshing sound, and we wake up feeling skinnier! So, we are left to live on healthier and happier without all of that extra baggage.

                            The END!
