    Korelis, I was hopping you would beat me to this and add some of your special morning flavor that I had gotten use to.
    So glad we have newbies with us. I hope we hear from all of you today.
    The weekend is a strange time on Atkins, it puts us in different circumstances and situations that can be challenging...Weekdays have a routine and structure all their own.

    We went hiking late in the day yesterday, went on a 3 mi loop and took my hubby and the dog. Caitlin in all of her intellegence did not hydrate well and wore too much clothing on her upper body that she refused to shed...and she over extended herself...bout passed out on us...thankfully my husband, who is trim, in shape, and very knowledgeable walked her up and out of the ravine, me, I will pulled by "Willie Dog" our 100 lab mix...how nice...of course my body is stiff and hates me right now, but other than that! It was a great experience...

    I am a former couch potatoe. I WANT for hiking boots, and a wind parka. Let me be outside, rather than bored in here, where I might eat something...

    JESS--Enjoy your day off! LUCKY!

    I only have a 3 day week with the students, and Thur and Fri are inservice days. But I have a feeling a lot of kids are going to be absent, and the ones who are here are going to be WILD, so it probably won't be a productive Monday, to say the least.

    I'm going to work out hardcore after work today--I have been ravenous this weekend! Maybe my metabolism has been kickstarted...? Hopefully.

    My cold is almost gone! Yay. I don't sound like Darth Vader on a 4pack-a-day habit anymore.

      The sad thing is I was up early this morning and thought I did beat you to it. Bah on me for not making sure. Oh well. So check in!

      Its monday and to me a new week. So for todays flavor I offer to you all 2 glasses of water for the wake up and 2 for the road. Just think if your like us in Houston its a long drive in. I hope everyone enjoys today. Remember to eat something (Atkin's friendly) if you get hungry but first try a glass of water.

        Update: It is snowing here--it's been snowing in the mountains this weekend, but it's finally reached the "lowlands" and boy is it freezing outside! This puts a damper on an after-work walk outside...I will have to turn it up a notch at the indoor fitness center!

          Hi julirama, Wow Snowing!? brrrr. We started buying polar fleece items this weekend. Yeah! Go with the hardcore work out! Glad to hear your cold is going away, and, LOL that you don't sound like darth vador.

          Jess, I'm glad your daughter was ok after that hike. Willie Dog sounds cute. We used to have an extra big Old English Sheepdog, Harvey, and we'd go on day hikes with him all the time. He would me up hills. LOL I loved him for that too, especially when it was stormy. Now my dogs are so little or old, that I have to pack them. Pay back, it's for real. LOL

          I hope all are doing great today. I am doing great because I am keeping a variety in my cooking. I check out the recipes here on ADBB all the time.

          I woke up at 1:30, 2:30, 3:30, 4:30...I still feel rested. It's cold and pouring rain here today and feel like a crock pot soup day, but I'm really hungry for pizza made with the taco bake crust recipe here in the recipe forum, so I'll do that instead. The "sweet'' desserts there are really satisfying that are on the recipe forum too. I think I want to cook all day!

            Hi everyone!

            This weekend I overdid it on the exercise and boy does my booty hurt! All of me hurts, but my booty most of all. Hopefully that'll turn out to be a good thing though. :P

            I ate pretty well this weekend, although I had some great northern beans in one of my meals that were hard to avoid. I did the best I could though.

            Water is the name of the game today, I think. I'm feeling poofy!

              Pooofy? Oh I know a great story about Poofy...see our cells, well they fill up with water and they don't want to loose their shape, and give up their space, sooo one little cell got this brilliant idea, lets fill up with water and hold our space, and our body's brain will freak and want to quit, thinking Atkins doesn't work....
              But, if you keep moving thru POOFY-VILLE, a whoosie will come your way and wash all those subversive cells outta here!!!

                woohoo! I love that story! :P

                That's why I'm drinking all this water! Definitely been retaining water (only got up once last night!) so i'm fighting fire with fire, so to speak!

                  FIRE IN THE HOLE!!!! I heard that in a movie somewhere... Fight the good fight with fire! Water those cells and cause them to give up...I am cookin up a batch of chicken breast we can cube and baggie for snackies...
                  Hey I am so unfamilar with stuff still, knicky, what do you think of tomatoe sauce, plain or concentrated paste...I want to make an old receipe, called Pizza soup which is a tomatoe broth, with added tomatoes, sausage, green pepper and onions and optiona macaroni, have it's cooked for a long time, you serve and put little cubes of moz. cheese on top...
                  what's the scoop on tomatoe sauce and or paste that is then made into a soup???

                          Tomato sauce usually has sugar in it. What i've done in the past is get those cans of crushed tomatoes, which still have carbs but no added sugar. I think tomato sauce is a nono for induction, but okay for later on. Just look on the can of crushed tomatoes to see how many carbs are in a can and see if it's acceptable to you!
