  • Saturday Morning Check-in

    Hey everyone! How is the weekend going? I snuck to the computer while the kiddos are still sleeping. Feels good to meet my morning as Jess likes to say

    Son wants to go to an art showing he heard about.. daughter is spending the night at a friends... other daughter is ZZZ after working last night.. hubby is at work until 11. It's brisk and crisp outside and I cannot wait to meet the day full of energy! Gotta love it!

    Tomorrow is weigh in day for the no weigh challenge and I'm so excited. It's keeping me totally on track and I cannot wait to weigh and measure!

    Plans for everyone else?

    Hi Rachel and rest if STACers,


    I am working today but I am off tomorrow and Monday. I plan on doing nothing but relaxing tomorrow...may not even get out of my pjs until the afternoon (only to put on my exercise clothes )!!! Have good food planned for the day and after work will be hitting the treadmill, stability ball for push-ups and crunches!!!

      Good morning all,
      I love it we are all up, the 3 of us that is. I got up early, after giving myself an hour of semi-snooze dozy time...that was just so wonderfully enjoyable.
      I am up, organzied, just made mini quiche's basically eggs, sausage, oniion, cheese incupcake cups and Caitlin will enjoy these easy take and go treats!
      Gonna exercise later today, I am strong enough that I can make it happen.
      My legs are still hurting somewhat from the big time work out on Thurs.
      Hope to add some milage to my weekend..
      Tomorrow we can weigh. I am getting pretty close to TOM, but lost a lot of inches this week...Caitlin's loss still slow.
      Tomorrow we shall see if I got the 5lb off for the 31st...Still plenty of time on that one. This month I have really lost alot of inches and or weight...so much has changed. It's like my body is in a shedding mode!
      Off to the new Walmart!

        Make that 4! I've been up since 4 am and been here reading all this time. It's almost 9. I should have said hi first, but got caught up in it. ADBB is like a good novel I can't put down. I hope everyone is going to have a great Atkins day. We went grocery shopping yesterday. It's so easy to know just what we need and not have to fret over what flavor chips I want, or if my candy will be chocolate with our without nuts. On the ride home, my husband and I thought we would treat ourselves to some jerky. He stopped in the little seaside town. He came out empty handed! I was so proud of him! He is now looking for hidden sugar. I teased him and told him he has become one of us shoppers that have slightly annoyed him because they stop and read the labels and hold up isle traffic. He is now one of us. LOL We both commented on how wonderful that felt to have nothing to eat over something we question if it's ok, as we chugged our water.

        For tomorrows weigh in, I can't imagine that I have not lost any pounds, but I am going to prepare for that, just in case, so I do not have a major let down. If I don't show a loss, I will have to go lower than 20 carbs per day.

          Hello!

          I've been up since 8 (That's sleeping in for 2+ hours!) but I just got home from the gym. Ohhhhh I am excited! I just joined a new fitness center--they opened in August, but I cheaped out and though "I can do it on my own, I will work out at school (our school has a beautiful fitness center, but they've really restricted the hours because of budget cuts AND the school I teach in is about 25 miles from where I live) etc., but it's FREEZING OUT, and in Nov it will be below zero--so no more walks/runs outside! Plus, I've heard really good things about this place and my boyfriend said last night that if I wanted to join, he would join with me because he really is inspired by what I've done and he'd like to get into shape too.

          I thought that was awesome--my boyfriend has just FINALLY put on weight this past year--his whole family has the metabolism of a hummingbird, and he's a really lean, sinewy kind of guy. But lately, he's gotten a little belly and wants to do running, some weights, and just tone up. (When I felt his little belly, I gave him a hug and said "welcome to the club, babe!"

          OK so anyway, the gym was fantastic, it's pretty cheap and they have fitness classes, which I LOVE. I was also very inspired to work out because I only lost 1lb. this week, but I keep telling myself it's because of TOM.

          So no big plans today, might hang out with some friends, have a few drinks (well I won't be drinking, guess I'm the DD) and watch a movie. UGH but I have to do MAJOR housework! I'll be drinking my water as I become Suzy Homemaker...

            Oh Juli you are gonna love the gym...gotta make yourself go!...I am proud you are going to pass up on the drinking to night...I would struggle with that one alot, I have learned to stay home and away from my friends who would draw me in, and thankfully I don't have friends who go out drinking...I do have a friend or two would would like to bring out the wine or beer during a get together...I don't get together at those times with them now...I pick times where we would not eat or drink....smart huh???

            BABS, can you talk to us about hidden sugars? Or point to a forum...I would love to know the names of sugars, other than, SUGAR...and how they are hidden..I know you are a wealth of knowledge...

              Oh yeah, I measured myself. I am down an inch or two in more than 3 places...I must be having a shrinking-spell! Really...very unexpected...I am about to get the TOM...and we weigh tomorrow...then it's good bye til probably Nov1 to see if I made all my challenged weights...

                Two or more inches?! WOW! Ohoo,,, I'll have to get up at 4 so hubby can measure me! He's going hunting and already in bed LOL
