  • Good monday morning

Hey everyone...Good morning! It's all good! That's what they say in australia. That and no worries, mate!
No worries here, just focus, and follow through.

Just focus and follow through...that's what i am starting to say as I get crowded at church for the secret, you know, "whats the secret to your success?" Is it a pill? A special plan? A video? Nope, just focus and follow through!

So simple really. I was struck the other day when some one came on here and issued a challange to drink all the water, some people did not change a thing and others rose up to the challanege and tightened back up on their water consumption...

The No Scales Challenge caused us to focus and follow through
The other challenges are committments we focus and follow through on.

Every step of this program requires Focus and Follow Through. Each step of the 4 phases needs our focus and our follow through so that on the other side we arrive! We become goalies...

What are you focusing on this week, what are you seeking to refine, and get better about? Where are you vigilant? What are you short term goals, are you heading right towards them. Focus and follow through today, for tomorrow's sake!

    Hiya jess,

    yep I am focussed today!

I am down a kilo on the scales and feeling fabulous.

I am also trying to drink lots of water this week, as well as vary my menu a little. You know you get into a groove of the same old meals. Tonight I just had omlette ( cheese and mushroom ) for dinner instead of breakfast, with a side salad of english spinach. Was a good change!

Good on you for the encouragement

    Ciao, Mayte!

Focus and follow through .. so true. I really need to write my goals down so I can see them daily and focus and follow through

Today is cold - 57 here in my office...I have my coffee and my jacket, jeans and shoes on and we are waiting for Mr. Sun to peek through and warm us up! BRRR.

This week the goals are the same - drink, exercise and eat according to plan. This month's plan is to not give in to candy!

      Happy Monday!

Hey Ozzie...I am proud of you, for focusing and following through. My daughter and I pick a thing each week to really focus on...She was working on keeping up her water...then she practiced leaving a bike behind on the plate, learning to stay no more...now this week she is focusing on intensity in her exercise...
There are so many little places to tweek on Atkins, and ways to think.
I was just watching a Tv Evangelist on the Tv, while biking and she had Donald Trump and Robert Kyosaki (Rich Dad Poor Dad) on. It was very good because the bottom line of their combined messages what, having the thinking patterns that lead to success...All 3 of these very successful people said, the created a right way of thinking and all their individual successes has come out of that place.
Then they dropped a wonderful statement, and I am in to catch pharases alot .....
"Quitters are Loosers" and that's the sure thing to lead to being a looser, being a quitter! I tell my daughter all the time, the only thing that will keep you from your goals is quitting. There is only ONE thing that will keep you from what you want, QUITTING. Now that I am gaining strength here, I want to take that philosophy out to where I want to WIN...

          Hello STACers!

Jess--good message, and true! If I fail at what I'm doing, the only person I have to blame is myself.

Today is Cold! It snowed this weekend in the mountains again. Back to an almost normal week--except on Wednesday I have a meeting in a different town, so I will be missing a whole day of school--the only good thing is that I get to sleep in a little bit!

My goals for this week are to remember to STRETCH after I work out! I'm really bad about that. And to eat ALL of my veggies...for some reason that's gotten tougher for me...I think because I'm not as hungry and just not eating as much (except for a few days last week ha ha).

Have a good Monday, and stay focused!

              Morning everyone!

Well, I fell off the proverbial wagon yesterday. Well, I didn't fall off of it actually, it was a considered decision. I had this big deadline today, and i haven't been able to focus (ADHD) at ALL on what I need to do. So, I picked up every kind of stimulant I could think of (legal, all of them) and went to town on them. This means I had some sugar.

But, the good news is that I finished what I needed to do and now I can hop back on the wagon. Having a little bit of an issue in that I want to go finish that ice cream, but I won't do it. Time for a flax muffin, methinks!

Good day everyone! I'm focused. I'm focused on what I'm putting in my mouth and drinking my water. I hope to get some time to read my Atkins book today.

                  Re: Good monday morning

Good morning all! First weekend on the second time around and it was successful! I was so proud of myself for making the right decisions. Friday night I went to a tomboy tool party and just had some deviled eggs and a soda. Saturday I ate some ham and cream cheese roll ups and made my own mexican quiche. I don't use cream in mine but I ground up some beef with a little taco seasoning, green chiles and poured the eggs and cheese on it. I even topped it off with just a few black olives. My boyfriend John loved it. Yesterday I had to work ot so I just had an Atkins granola bar, lunch was leftover quiche and dinner was beef ribs marinated in Lowery mesquite and lime and steamed brocoli. Yummy!!! Stepped on the scale this morning and WOO HOO so far I have lost 11.5 pounds since Wednesday. I know a lot is water weight and that the pounds will not be so much next time around but it's a good start to get the motivation flowing again!!

Have a terrific Monday all and thanks so much for all your motivational stories.
