    Re: Time Change Sunday

Hi everyone! I hope everyone's having a great Atkins day! Thanks for getting me going Jess.
Paul, congratulaions on your new weight loss!
Well, As Halloween is here, we are leaning to go RVing. It's so cold, but I'd rather sit in a little trailer than have candy in my "bad carb free house" as I'm not that strong with that temptation here.

Thanksgiving and Christmas coming up...I know I won't have any problems with foods...I just know it--I feel it. I have fun with those types of foods. I always said I could live on Hor'devores (sp?). I'll pull out my recipe books for cheese dips and stuffed mushrooms, whip out my pine cone cheese ball and hopefully crab season will open for Christmas, but if not, we will have that on New Years. However, I always find a turkey that is not pumped with sugar...there are those darn "hidden sugars" again.

As for challenges, I'll be in the treadmill challenge again and look around for something else. I want to get back into using fitday and keep up on my journal stats information.

      Re: Time Change Sunday

knicknack, Congratulations on your one pound loss and also for not eating those foods last night.

Paul, that's a good idea to take during pictures. I have a camera for that and I should really do that today since I am finishing up my first two months and 18 pounds down. It didn't seem like much, but now that I see it like that, that's pretty good. I'll take it.

Chris, Oh, your welcome, any time. If your friends chooses Atkins, let me know if you ever need help finding recipes for those foods he likes. It's become a hobby of mine to test them out.

Chris--not a problem. Atkins is a big life change, and I respect that your friend needs solid arguements and evidence if he's going to permanently change his ways. It's not an easy choice for everyone.

Got back a while ago from a *brisk* walk here in Northern Montana. Must have walked about 5 miles! My nose is still cold. I am so jealous of your Georgia weather, Jess!

            Re: Time Change Sunday

For everyone thinking about the upcoming holiday season, be sure to check out the STAC stickey by our own Starmaker titled "Staying strong strategies". There is also a thread deep down in the archives that she begun chock full of lc holiday recipes that may be of help to everyone as well. I'll try to hunt that one up to add to the group I dragged up from the basement this evening.
