      My biggest mistake is letting the legal food supply get to low. Keeping the freezer and fridge stocked is imperative for me to stay on track. I need to modify how I shop and how often, and find better sources of protein. I eat too much red meat.

          Myth: keeping chips/cookies/candy snacks around the house for the kids is a must
          Truth: they don't need these snacks, and neither do you.

          Myth: I don't need to exercise at first, if at all.
          Truth: you body burns fat for fuel faster and you look better too.

          Myth: I keep Slim Fast Ultima (Low Carb), and other LC shakes around for just in case.
          Truth: They stall or throw you sugar off. Throw them out or take them back to the store unopened and claim you got the wrong stuff. Truth...you did, just buy the fresh veggies instead with the money you get back.

          Myth: If I weigh every day, the fat will suddenly disappear.
          Truth: If you weigh every day, you mind will suddenly disappear and start worrying about the numbers. Don't let the numbers rule you.

            LisaM..........you are so right on. I just had that talk with my son about not having junk in the house. They will have to eat whole foods. My whole house needed "cleansed". I am not being a "nice" mom by feeding them bad food.

              LisaJ...I hear ya. My girls were use to having junky snacks around the house when they were younger. I was doing it for them, I'd tell myself as I piled in the chips, donuts, cookies, and snack bars into the cupboard on payday. oye! lol.

              Since they eat lunch at school at 11:30 every day and we don't eat dinner until about 5:30 or 6 I let them have a small meal in between with me (I usually eat 4 small meals a day). It's really helped keep them from feeling grouchy and avoid the need to whine about having missing out on junk foods/snacks that they see on tv or at the grocery store...so far

                Make time for you every day. In between the clamour of home, family, jobs and everything else that wants to sqeeze into our lives, we often forget about you. Make a regular date with you, enter these dates into your calendar in advance so that there are no excuses.

                Use this time to do exercise, or doing something that you like to do, reflect, relax or simply time out. Whether it is 15, 20, 30 or 60 minutes or more, make it a time where you are doing something for you. Don't be surprised if it changes you!

                  This is a great thread !

                  Dont let other people sabotage you by saying that "this WOL wont work" or "dont worry about your weight just be happy" or "come on just this once lets ""enjoy"" ourselves (because they dont want to feel guilty about eating junkfood when they themselves could use to lose afew pounds) " ect...

                  Just listen to yourself and your own body you know if you need to lose weight to be healthy. There are people out there that for some reason dont want to see us reach our goals and those are the people we need to stay away from just surround yourself with your true friends and with people who love you and want you to be happy AND healthy.
