  • Monday morning -- starting the week right!

    Good morning, STACers! I'm sure Jess is up by now, so I guess she's been swamped with morning duties and hasn't had a chance to make it to the board, yet; so I thought I might start the Monday check-in. Jess, I hope you don't feel that I'm stepping on your toes -- I just wanted to get going, here!

    I've made a solomn vow to myself, today, that I am really going to try and remember Jess' "Rumbling vs Grumbling" advice and make use of it! I admit to all that during the past week I was guilty, a time or two, of giving into those brain grumblings of having something to eat, rather than waiting for the tummy rumblings that said I was actually hungry. That was last week -- this week it IS going to be different.

    My scale seems to be stuck at the same place that it's been for several weeks, now; but, I'm pretty sure that the problem isn't with the scale. Somehow, I have this tiny suspicion that the problem is with the person standing on it -- ME! It's those grumblings that have sabotaged me, but, starting today, my ears are going to be totally deaf to them!

    I hope you all have a great week, with much success. Let's get this week on the road!

                Now that IS impressive! I guess that's one invitation you can't ignore. There must be special plans in store for you, Stretch!

                Seriously, I'm so glad you took me up on the invite -- we just love new folks, here. (I mean we really love 'em -- Cleo often serves 'em grilled, with low-carb barbecue sauce! )

                    1st goal: 139 (earlier weight)
                    what the rungs mean to me:
                    rung 1 - more veggies
                    rung 2 - dairy (some milk in coffee)
                    rung 3 - seeds, nuts (mostly sprinkled on salads)
                    rung 4 - berries, melon
                    rung 5 - wine -
                    rung 6 - beans, hummus
                    rung 7 - other fruits
                    rung 8 - carrots/ potatoes (nah, prolly not)
                    rung 9 - whole grains (fresh Dutch breads...)
                    Major Goal - 128 lbs/ healthy range
                    (on to pre-maintenance)

                      I'm having a hard time with getting on ADBB forums and staying on today. I'm getting a "405 Gateway Error message", or something like that, whatever that is, so I'll try again later.

                          Hi Chris, i have found myself lately doing what Jess wrote about because she wrote it lol. Sometimes things don't sink in until you read them so Jess is my favorite for actually writing it down so i can now utilize my internal duhhh factor lol and start applying what she said.

                          It is hard though. I don't really know how to tell if i am hungry or if its my mind grumbling. Because we are suppose to each every couple hours. I think i will start a thread asking how do you know lol.
