This is my 3rd time starting the Atkins WOE. I tried in January 2005. I lost about 15 pounds, but for some reason decided I could finished my weight loss journey without Atkins. I gained it all back, naturally.
I started again in December of 2005. But in that month, I had become a vegetarian, and it was just too hard. I hardly made it past induction, and I quit. I gained back the 10 pounds I had lost, and about 20 more. I ended up at about 210. I think my high weight was somewhere around 215. Now, a little over 2 months and almost 20 pounds after starting, I am feeling pretty good. I still cheat occasionally. But never again. Never again am I going to decide I don't need Atkins or that it's too hard. If I could manage induction on bunless veggie burgers and broccoli ommelettes, I can continue to succeed now that more options are opened to me.
I haven't visited this Forum before, though I've been a member of site for about 2 months. I've been a lurker for much longer, saying, "I'll join someday and restart. I'll do something about it... tomorrow."
Not tomorrow, today. I'm back for good this time.
And I'll see you all around the boards.

Always good to have another member. I have a 17 yr old who did atkins a few yrs back and she has managed to keep off the weight. After doing atkins, i think it's programmed into her head. She doesn't have to watch it as close now becuase she is so active, but she naturally shys away from carby stuff.
