    Re: Tues Check In

Hey everybody. I worked at the polls today for election - had to be there at 5:15 this morning and just got home about 7:00. It's been a long day but I'm proud of myself.

You wouldn't believe all the stuff there to eat. They furnish two meals and always have donuts in the morning too. My partner today was a 16 or 17 year old girl and she ate all day long. I wanted to warn her where all that food is going to end up one day but hey... wasn't my place... LOL

I took ham slices, string cheese, green pepper slices, dip I made and 6 bottles of water (and I drank every bit of it for 12 glasses!). I did eat the legal parts of the noon meal that was delivered - salad with ranch, green beans and a piece of boneless pork loin.
Everything else around me I resisted and it ranged from donuts to chips to chocolate and lots of stuff in between.

It really was an accomplishment.... last time I worked there in the spring I ate all that stuff too and came home miserable. This time i came home with another cheat free day under my belt!

Sorry for rambling.... I just got a little excited with myself...

Way to go Mystical! Be proud....be proud!!!

Thanks Outback (re: tea). I figured I'd have to ween myself. I just know I am walking on shaky grounds sometimes during induction, so I stick with a "safe food/drink) and resort to it whenever I feel I might struggle a bit. The last go around, my 'safe" food was diet coke and it wasn't even decaf! Tea is a better choice I'd say, but not a great one. Will try water only tomorrow (ugh).

Nope. I'm not supposed to use any Japanese in the classroom. I am there to provide natural English. There are Japanese teachers on hand to help explain the grammar to them.

@mystical -- That's wonderful to say no to all that stuff. Well done to be so prepared!

Quitstretchin...Girl, you sound like you are really paying attention to yourself. It's hard. Some people cut it all out and off...others WEEN...
I would encourage you to continue to gain strenght one day at a time over things. I have seen it done over and over on these boards...My hats off to you, on the other side of tea you might find it was holding something up somewhere...We all know what is best, but its such a struggling place for many...Keep working!! I know you will come here one of these days and say, TEA FREE!!!
