I think a salad would keep pretty well--the only issue is the dressing. Either you can get those little individual sized packets, or use oil/vinegar? Pepperoni should be fine for a while unrefrigerated, too. If you're in OWL, or once you move on, you can pack beef jerky and nuts, too.

Great list Cheryl, but lots of it isn't allowed on induction and on the lower levels of OWL. Mandy, what level are you on?

              Hi Mandy-

I've found that those tuna packet things are great when you can't bring a cooler. It isn't really enough food, but it is better than nothing! Tuna packet, hard boiled egg, some celery sticks - those can all be left out of the fridge.

But yeah, if you have a cooler, then problem solved!

Another thing I do is to freeze leftovers in those throw away tupperwares, and then bring them to work. They are frozen, so it doesn't matter that they aren't refrigerated for a few hours.

                Hi Mandy

Thats great advice on the frozen items, just enough time for them to thaw out naturally!!

When I need to eat on the run I usually make sure I have some baggies with cheese crisps and peperoni as both are high in fat and keep me going for a while!

                  Re: Food Advice

Frozen is great. My current favorite food is hamburger soup. I make a big batch on weekends and freeze in serving size containers. I leave out until lunch the 2 mins in microwave and I have hot lunch.

What ever you do don't skip a meal! Hard-boiled eggs, a bit of cheese - this fills me up and doesn't need refrigeration (unless you're in the desert )
