  • Sunday Morning 11/12

Hey STACers. I hope your day was good yesterday. Mine was definately different. I am up early (duh) and focused (double duh) been hanging around Juli and Cathyjobetty, alot yesterday. We have linked arms and are giving buddy support to our friend to help her get her exercise up. I linked arms with Gem yesterday, and she inspired me to get moving like she did! I pop in on people and given them a hopeful word of believing in themselves...
There comes a point of stability in this program where you can start to reach out and support others...come along side of them...
I remember when Sarah1743 and Dragonflymoon did that with me. I remember way back in the fall when Dragonflymoon called for a ROLL CALL, to see who was in, who was serious about this way of life and who would be accountable. We became friends that day!

If you are weak, link arms with someone strong, if you are strong, be available to link arms with someone in need...what happens is we all get stronger, we tend to work a little harder and stay "better for the other person"...
Sometimes we just need to NOT BE ALONE!

    Talk about it!

Jess--good message, and I totally agree. It makes me think of teaching--the best way to learn something is by teaching it to others...the best way we can learn this WOL, how to exercise, how to stay committed, is by guiding, helping, and supporting others who are doing the same. I am totally excited about this corn challenge--it's really going to get me to step my game up mile-wise, and we're also helping someone see that exercise can be enjoyable! I was laughing non-stop yesterday...all those crazy posts...and I think we'll all be successful in our 3 week challenge! I KNOW we will!

Today, already went to the gym, later will go for a walk with the bf if it's not too cold, and spend some time with friends. Have a great Sunday, and DRINK YOUR WATER!!

        Re: Sunday Morning 11/12

        Hey all !

I'm doing okay so far I have had a headache for about 2 days now but its alittle better today thank god.
I'm having alittle trouble getting all my water in but I'm doing it. The main problem I find is after I'm done eating the thought or smell of meat or eggs makes me sick to my stomach to the point were I had to have DH open the windows and spray air freshener after supper the other night because the smell of the meat in the house was going to make my throw up. After afew hours I was okay again but man at the time it was bad I think its because of how rich the foods are ? I dont know ....has anyone else went thru this ?

One good thing is I took a peek at the scale this morning I know I wasnt supposed to look till thursday but I just had to peek and I am down 4 pounds YAY !!! I know it will slow down this is only day 4 of my 14 day induction and its probably just water weight but I dont care weight is weight LOL.

I definitely had the headache and nausea, and yeah, I didn't want to eat--actually I wanted to do what I usually did, which was eat some crackers or chips or bread to "settle my stomach" like I'd done since I was a little kid. I just kept drinking my water, took some motrin ib, and laid low--eventually it went away, and I felt better than ever. Just be patient...eat what you can--but don't force yourself if you're not hungry.

          You'll get through this, Ante!

            Re: Sunday Morning 11/12

Hi everyone. I'm still doing fine on this WOL. I'm still exercising...same everything. I'm must have not seen that accountablility thread, but I'm on all that too--Giving support and being supported.

ante_up, I've never had that happen, about the meat smell. Although I do get to the point sometimes where I have to give eating eggs a break. I started this time around eating 3 eggs at breakfast and now I only eat one egg, and I'm full. I have times I'm not hungry at all. I can't eat beef sticks (like Slim Jims) at least for a while. We eat a lot of fish, chicken when we don't have pork or beef, so maybe that would feel less rich to you. Most of the time, I cook up meat to last 2 to 3 days, so all I have to do is heat it. Also, we grill a lot of meat outside. Sometimes I take the electric skillet out on the big porch and cook meals that have fish, onions, garlic, or dishes that I let cook for hours just so it doesn't smell up the house. I hope that gets better for you.

            Have a great Sunday all.
