    Guess Jess is riding her bike!

    It's Tuesday and I'm missing Jess's words of wisdom. I don't have anything brilliant to say, but don't let that stop YOU from saying them.

    Check in and let us know how you are doing.

    Today - I'm feeling really good. I've already done 1.25 miles and hope to get another mile in. I'm getting the water down and thinking about breakfast soon.

    I'm staying off the scale this month. The HOlidaze is hectic enough and I dno't want the scale to dictate my mood. My clothes are getting bigger and I'm feeling so good about myself that I don't want to spoil it. I may not weigh until after the new year!

    Go Rachel! Great on the mileage and great outlook for the holidays!!

    Things are going well for me too. No cheats, woo hooo!! I'm still feeling strong and moving forward. I'm down 3 pounds, which is a plus. I cannot wait to start exercising again!

        Well the kids are off to school so its time for me to get some work done LOL I'm doing great with my WOL so far I already have my meals for today logged into fitday and once I get off here I'm off to do my exercise then its laundry and house work Yay LOL.

            Well it's a fabulous day here in Montana...just kidding! It's colder than a welldigger's patootie, and of course I didn't wear my coat. I also put too much water in my nalgene last night, and when I took it out of the freezer this am, it was solid ice all the way up to the lid. So now I'm forced to lick the ice like a deer on a salt lick if I want moisture. Hope nobody sees me being intimate with my water bottle...

              Morning all! It's been a quiet morning for me. Today is an off day for me. I'm at work all day and at school tonight. So my only goal today is to drink my water and get in at least a mile walk.

                Hey Gem, You're doing great!

                I'm going to do my treadmill earlier than normal today. Hopefully, I'll make it a habit and even get more in later. Things are fine here--drinking water, eating right--sun is out--I think it's going to be a great day. I have my grocery list ready, full of good foods and ingredients for barbque sauce from the ''lessons'' forum. It's sounded so delicious, so have to try it.

                  Hi everyone looks like everyone is up and at them and focused. Its great to see. Recommittment daily gets us through it every day.

                  I didn't go work out this morning. sighsss. 4:30 is just EARLY to get up lol. But i will go tonight as i did last night. I really would like to get a morning routine going so i have the bonus if i go at night. My friend said to sleep longer and get ready at the gym, wrinkles my nose, i am 1) a mosier in the morning lol. I sit down and browse on the puter, watch TV, and get ready in between. So if i go to the gym, i won't have that lol. and 2) i don't like the way the girls lockerroom is set up, its so open that i thiink ii would be uncomfortable. Soooo my only option is getting up at 4:30 to get to the gym by 5:15 (some allowance for mosing here lol).

                  My weight jumped up again so i am back to 279, i don't get it. So i am a little frustrated but i believe its my water intake that i am not doing well on that is causing this with the influx of exercise over the past 2.5 weeks. I kept my water the same (actually slacked a little i believe) as i am only drinking 99 oz TOTAL including what i DON'T drink at the gym). I don't drink much at the gym when i am working out. So my goal this week is to get my water intake up to 150 total. Then see what happens. I am also adding salt to my food too which hurts i know. But other than that my food hasn't changed i am a pretty same stuff diifferent day chick.

                  Its motivating to see everyone doing so well!! Thanks for being you.

                    Hey STACers..I love the people who have come and made this this community.
                    Sorry about this morning, I could not think of anything good to say...I was down to one liners...The day has gotten worst, I have pissed off my husband and my sister. They too have pissed me off... Shame on me, regardless of if they share in any blame, our family are BLAMESHIFTERS...so because I stuck my neck out, I am sure in their eyes I am to blame...
                    I have snuck off to the library...I came to retreat from my home...and lick my wounds.
                    Caitlin and i are about to ride our bikes.
                    My profound thought of the day is, this is really a lot of work. Atkins requires HANDS ON THE WHEEL, no coasting, no letting up, no letting go of the wheel just because I don't wanna drive today...
                    Atkins requires focus and committment every single day...To do it right, requires doing it right...Doing it right, yields a way of life... I am paying that price right now. It has cost me alot to get up and focus starting at 5am and finishing around 9pm..

                    Good news, I found I am strong today...I do have the ability to focus when I don't want to,
                    I can still drink the water required when tired and in tears.
                    I can still eat right when everybody turns against me and/or changes promises, or turns the tables on me.
                    I can stand tall and exercise when I am blamed for other's messes.
                    I could get up and get it done before I walked out the door today...bike ride, breakfast and lunch in hand, dinner defrosting...bikes loaded in the car, work out clothes ready to go! Remember, I DO Atkins for 2!!! Grochery list all written out...
                    I was ready for someone else to drive today...TO BE A SLACKER...but that kid who looks me right in the eye, well what kind of example would I leave her if I did???
                    But mostly, I have come too far to take my hands off the wheel. I am living the dream NOW...It's just a dream that costs me, every single day.

                      {{{jess}}} Could your taking control of your life be a threat to them? You know.. you are a caregiver and you are caring for yourself first now.. sometimes people resent that. They are so use to you always being there for them and when we take that away.. well.. it manifests in so many different ways.

                      hang tight, kiddo! You can do this!!! Don't give in. Stand tall and proud. You are an amazing woman, mom, wife, daughter, sister, friend - nobody can take that away from you

                          Good Morning!

                          Tuesday was pretty good for me. I drank 5.5L of water, and then had to stop myself. I'm wondering if I'm coming down with a cold. I'm not usually that thirsty. But it was getting beyond ridiculous.

                          I was tired and cranky after work, but did my walking instead of taking a nap.

                          I had a big ole spinach salad for dinner that was really yum. It might not have been spinace though. Or it was a different kind of spinach than I usually get. The leaves looked a little different. *shakes fist at illiteracy* Anyhoots, it was green and leafy and very nice in a salad.

                            Jess,

                            Were all here for you and love nothing better than to ride shotgun with you to grab the wheel if it slides. I lookforward everyday to reading your posts and your daily thread is one of the reasons I log on every morning. I know I just came back last week but I just wanted to let you know how important you are to this board. So just know when your day to day family life hits some bumps you can always come on here and chat with friends.
