  • Friday, November 17

I rested my eyes last night while daughter played her Nintendogs and at 8:30 I was zzzzzz! I dunno if it's this time change or my exercising, but when the sun goes down I want my bed! I use to be the last one to go to bed. Ya know, all that mamma stuff that needs to be done. Now? I cannot keep my eyes open.

I don't have any big plans for the weekend. I have the Tgiving day meal planned for us, my inlaws, and I'm thinking of swinging by my parents after lunch for dessert (will bring my own) and coffee. Plans tend to change quickly around here so I'm not writing anything in stone.

Today I'm cooking a pork loin MMMM maybe some stove top for the family and roasted cauliflower for me! Or green beans.. or .. ohoo, it's endless possibilities! MMMM The "okra dressing" is all gone. It was a big hit so I need to make sure I have enough for Tgiving.

      Humm, left over chicken.......

You could sautee some mushrooms and asparagus together, add the shredded chicken, a touch of heavy cream and loads of black pepper!

        oh gosh, I'm hungry now...

        HEY STACers!

Hope you're glad it's Friday...I sure am! I'm exhausted, and I need a break...glad next week is Thanksgiving, because the students are going batty--they need a break almost as much as the teachers do!

Well I'm a little bummed today, no weight lost this week, but I'm blaming TOM...and I had a good run where I lost over 10lb. in 3 weeks...<sigh>...it was bound to happen eventually! So I'm going to increase my water intake, and keep on plugging along...

        Have a great Friday!

Juli, what do you bet that you are building muscle with all the working out you are doing.
I hope you give yourself a rest here girlie...You need one.

I am good, limping along with some weird stomach bowel thingy...Fairly weak. Yesterday I had to lay down and nap...I even took a rest day on the bike.

My food is still causing concern. Going off to get a haircut this morning. Hope all our people here are gooood.....

            Hey folks!

Good news (for those that read yesterday's oops!): I'm feeling quite normal today - no cravings and no desires to cheat. That's great news for me. Yay! I'm eating my cheese and rockstar for breakfast, I have a chicken caesar salad for lunch, dinner I'm not sure about but we shall see. All is well!

Juli, what week are you in again? I quite often stall after a good run of a few weeks, especially the first few weeks. Don't sweat it, you'll be fine. And if TOM is coming, well then there's really nothing to worry about. :P

              What is cheese and rockstar?

I have been looking up pumpkin recipes and now I'm hungry for it LOL I think I'm gonna have it tonight with my pork loin - either as a veggie or as dessert! MMM

Well, cheese is...cheese. :P Rockstar is this energy drink i've become addicted to. It has a whole lotta B vitamins, some caffeine, and then some other ingredients that are supposed to give you energy (taurine, guarana, etc...). I've no idea if it works or not, but it's my one guilty treat and I would be lost without it. :P

Hmm...<doing some quick math>...this is the start of week 14 for me...so 13 weeks down. And lost a total of 42lb. in those 13 weeks...I think it's a combination of muscle and TOM. Or at least I'm hoping it is, because I haven't cheated, eaten anything off-plan, and have not introduced any new foods in the past week...

What a roller coaster ride it's been for the past 24 hrs. I'm really really trying hard to keep it together. Must be TOM for me sooner then I thought. It won't be helpful that my office is having a tailgate party for our college team. They have ordered mexican platters. Mexican food is my favorite!! I promise I won't cave. I brought my pork rinds, sf jello, cucmbers and drinking plenty of water. I wish I could hold my head as high as I did yesterday, but I'm just not in the mood today.

Hang in everyone, I'm cheering for you!

                          Re: Friday, November 17

                          Good morning all!

I'm on day five of induction, and I feel Gggrrrrrrreat!!! I went to a meeting last night for an organization that I belong to, and they had a surprise birthday celebration for one of our vice presidents. There was a buffet line of asian food, and a cake. I had already eaten some leftover steak and brocolli at home, so I just wanted a tiny sampling from the buffet. All I had was some zuchinni (sp?), a little piece of chicken and a tiny piece of beef. No cake. I had no cravings for it at all. I also had a wonderful caffene-free Diet Coke. I don't know why, but it tasted so good!!!

As of this morning, I've lost 5 pounds, but I'll use my weigh-in on Monday morning for my official 1st week loss.

Jess, I'm sorry you're not feeling well. What do you mean when you say you still have some food concerns?

Thanks Rachel for your encouragement. I'm glad I have this board to vent a little. Tammy kudos for you for choosing the right foods to nibble on. I think I have to keep telling myself that low carb food tastes just as good as fattening food and so much better for us. And that we really do have choices. We can eat off of those vegie and meat trays and wonderful strawberries if there is a fruit tray. I think our biggest challanges can be meats that are in sauces, meatballs, hot wings, ect. I know we can make it through the festive season we just need to prepare ourselves.
