  • Letting Go of Size 20

    Good morning,

I started off this day by getting rid of all my size 20 clothing. What a great feeling. I've been holding on to several sizes of clothing, never really paying attention to my weight gain because I always had clothes in a variety of sizes. Today I decided I will never go back, I'm forging ahead, so I pulled out some 14's and that is what I'm striving for at this point. I bagged up the leather jackets, dresses, suits, skirts, pants and put them all in the Goodwill Canister near my home. I felt such a since of accomplishment and of course relief. Unfortunately I don't have that much to wear now, but I'm OK with that. I'm taking it one size at a time.

A gorgeous fur coat was on sale at my local charity shop today. Size 12, I was tempted, but I cannot believe I will ever get that thin, so I let it go!

Harlem! Great thing to do! You're doing two good things...you're on the way to a healthier you, and giving that clothing to someone who can use it.

Good for you!!! It's definitely a motivator to keep losing weight! I did the same thing. When I went down a size, I gave all of the the clothes that were too big away. The only thing I kept was one pair of jeans. They're my, "Look how far you've come and never want to return to" jeans.

Keep up the good work...those 14's will be on you in no time!

I am also one of those with various sizes of clothing in her closet. I have a Rubbermaid container full of "smaller" clothes! I've always believed I'd get back down to those sizes one day!
So congrats to you for going all out and using this as a modivation! Keep on losing (weight and clothes! )
