    Stress

I've always been an emotional eater. Forget it, stress is the green light to eat whatever I please for comfort. Well I just conquered another hurdle. After my birthday windfall I came home to (Sat. evening 11/25) my tub being filled with water. I live in an apartment building and the water was backing up into my tub, filling up every 30-40 minutes. My fiance and I bailed water out of the tub for over 36 hours. Because it was a holiday weekend we couldn't get hold of a plumber until Monday. I'm most proud to say that this situation did not trigger any old feelings. I continued to low carb thru the rest of the weekend, eating all acceptable foods and legals snacks. This is big for me, considering what I would have done in the past. Holla!

Harlem, that's fantastic! And bailing that water out had to burn a *lot* of calories...and maybe build you some lean muscle! Yay! (You have to find the good, always right?)

This truly is something to be proud of, so Congratulations!!!!!

Oh Chris! Now please know I did not laugh when I read this, but more of a gaspy laugh of, "OH MY GOODNESS! Panic, Panic!!" You did great! I relate because I am a stress eater too, so thoughts of clinging to a sheetcake raft in the tub would have been what I would have done before I returned to Atkins this time. Congratulations on your success of sticking to all legal foods! You won! Babs
