    Here's to the Second Time Around!

    Love having a forum just for those of us who need to get back to it!

    I was an ADBB member for more than a year, lost 130+ lbs with what, at the time, seemed to be relative ease. Then came a whole stream of life events (hey - I'm a grandma now!), and, although I didn't crash and burn, I got neglectful. A little of this, a little of that and POOF! I got on the scale yesterday and realized that in 14 months I've gained back 35 lbs! (Why can't we gain back CUTE pounds? Why do they always have to be UGLY ones??)

    I started Induction yesterday morning. Amazing how quickly just doing it made me feel better about myself! YAY ME! I've decided to give myself a big ol' pat on the back for recognizing the need to return to Atkins and the need to return to ADBB (a major factor in my success!!!).

    Yes, I gained back some weight -- I'm not going to beat myself up about it or be embarassed. I am just going to pick myself up, dust myself off, and start all over again (hey, that would make great lyrics, wouldn't it?)

    I'm here -- I'm determined -- and yeah, I'm going to do it again!

                you know Joan, I have to give you kudos for recognizing what to do about it before you gained everything back PLUS some more .... Like I did.

                I have to say that my commitment to myself and Atkins as a way of life is stronger this time around. No more doing it Joy's way...it's Dr. A's way for me now.

                Our Second Time Around Club here has some phenomenal members, use them and their collective strength for support. Hey, that sounds freakishly Star Trek-ish LOL

                  Congrats on deciding to come back and give it another go before the gain got completely out of control. Life events are a pain! Hopefully the more we come to this board, the more we can reach our goals with the right kind of support and motivation! Good luck! See you around!
