  • Friday, at last!

    Good vibes for Friday, everyone!

Hubby and I were up at 4 again. I was up at 3. Sigh. I was in a wreck yesterday afternoon and had trouble sleeping all night. A 17-year-old broadsided me, which pushed me head first into oncoming traffic. I side swiped a truck and finally came to a rest back in my original lane. I'm sore all over, but I"m okay. Everyone is okay. My truck. Different story. No more front driver light. From that point all down the side and to the back tail light (which is no more either) is either cut open like a tuna can, dented, or curled backwards.

I just don't need MORE stress in my life. I'm finally picking up pieces after the hurricane last year and seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. And now this. I'm holding on with all my might. I will not cheat, but I know me.. I can already feel the depression taking hold. That feeling of doom and dread of having to go through all this crud with fixing my truck and insurance, etc. Blah!

I skipped exercise this morning just to rest, but I'm planning on starting up again tomorrow to keep myself sane.

    Hi Rachel:

Don't push yourself on the exercising tomorrow. You may not be ready so soon after the accident. Just listen to your body, ok? That accident sounds pretty bad -- thank God you're ok.

    Take care of yourself,

Thanks! Yes, I'm seriously rethinking ... I go through waves of "oh yah, exercise tomorrow" to "omgosh, I cannot get up from the chair!" LOL

Rachel--your body is priority one, and I think right now, you've earned a little break from exercise!

I'm not going to say "cheer up, it'll all be ok" because that's unrealistic. That sucks about your truck, BUT YOU ARE OK! You are alive and safe. You are home with your family. You can replace a truck. You CAN NOT replace RachelInLa.

Don't cheat--look at all you've overcome and improved. You are a strong woman or else you wouldn't be here right now. You are stronger than your food, so you show those carbs who's Da BOSS and kick them to the curb!

So glad to hear that you weren't seriously injured. Take it easy, ok? You need a break. Go shopping and fill up your house with all those legal foods (so you're not tempted with the comfort foods), and give yourself some rest. Take care!
