Ewww morning already??? My alarm went off about ten minutes ago and I don't wanna get up!!!! I can't believe how tired I feel this morning. I really think it is just that I am looking at another 12 hour day at work and I don't want to play!! heheh

Anyway, I have no idea what to eat for breakfast this am, I don't really want eggs, never really liked em to start with. Not much else here to eat because i didn't get paid until today.

So off I go to find breakfast and start drinking water. Have a great Friday everyone. I am off the next 3 days so I am definately looking forward to it

Good Morning!!! It's still so quiet in my house right now..its 5:09 here in Louisiana. I got up at 4. I was trying to do my walk away the lbs dvd and it starting waking up the baby. I walk at work at lunch and that has made a big difference in my energy level. I work in a dr's office and the drug reps feed us like 2 to 4 times a week. Sometimes is something I can eat but yesterday it was Popeyes Chicken and of course I just walked right throught the lounge out the door and down stairs to the cafeteria and got some baked chicken and brocoli. I felt very proud because Popeyes is my all time favorite food. So, I think that might have been a milestone for me. Because all of these last tries this year I gave in at those temptations. Thanks to the support and accountability on this board I think I can stay strong.
      Have a great TGIF all.

Morning Chris, You are doing amazingly well..So motivated and up early working your daily plans. I love that! I am up too, early working my morning plans. I will exercise at 8:30 today in the gym in our clubhouse, with my neighbor...She is trying to loose weight with Weight Watchers, we alternate between the bike and the treadmill...
Should be a good work out that way!

These last 2 weeks I have been so busy and have not posted much here. I come here every day and see new faces, people excited to be here and working their way to weightloss and control over their food. Last night I was at a large ladies meeting and I saw some people I ahve not seen in 3 months...I am now in my 5th month of Atkins...The number one quality everybody seems to be remarking on, other than, "OMG, you have lost a ton of weight, do you know that!!!" I smile and think, YES I KNOW THAT!!!! but I smile awkwardly...but the comment that surprises me is, "YOU LOOK SO MUCH YOUNGER"...and i think, "wow I must have been looking OLD"...
I am turning 50, but it's a young 50...I think the UNHAPPINESS WITH MYSELF made me LOOK SO OLD....I think when we are doing the right things, keeping our promises here, and living the right way with food, we are alot happier with ourlseves....I believe that makes me look younger...There is a dance in my eyes, because I have self control and that gives me alot of self respect! I probably smile more...because I have self respect again! I am doing the right thing by myself...My right thing, is mine...It might only click for me...but when it clicks, I click! I am with it, I am flowing and I am happier...
It all pays off, every single hard day...the girl saying, "do you know you've lost a ton of weight"...makes me roll my eyes, like, "DO I KNOW"...He** yeah I KNOW...I have pushed for it every single day, getting up early, working out regardless, finding ways to eat in public, at home, everywhere low carb...I have called resturants, I have gone to bed early, gotten up early, I have brought tons of food with me, never leaving the house unprepared...YEAH I KNOW!!!! I have come here constantly for support, and I have given myself a great deal here...I have exercised my brains out! YES, I KNOW I HAVE LOST A TON OF WEIGHT IT"S NO ACCIDENT AT ALL....I did it on purpose.

Congratulations on bypassing the Popeye's. I know how hard that must have been, Popeye's is one my favorites to. Doesn't feel great to be in control.

Have a great day and enjoy your three days off.

Okay I know I am in Ketosis because when I woke up this morning my mouth tasted like CRAP and I could almost smell my own breath. Someone please quick remind me how I am suppoed to combat this through the day without buying a pack of sugary breath mints????

Edited to add after I read that. It isn't that it is necessarily "bad" breath just different than what I am used to my mouth tasting like......

                  Bad breath;
                  parsely is an odor nuetralizer
also brush your teeth often (that's what I do)
                  and emergency orbit gum (yum)

I'm up early and to a suprise. TOM is early (tends to happen with this way of life), but at least I know I'm not crazy over all the cravings I've been having this week. Yesterday I made it through a clean day of eating but ate a lot of food because I just felt like I was starving. At least in the last 3 days I have lost 8 pounds and with Tom starting I think that is great!
My goals are size related because I do carry a lot of muscle(which equates to a higher weight). I got to the point where I could wear almost all 10's (some really generous sizing I could wear a few 8's), but now most of my 12's were getting tight, so I don't have a great deal to lose(14 pounds as of today), but I have been there before (size extra huge) and never want to go back. I'm desperately trying to get the carb monster under control before Christmas and the general carb fest that follows everywhere. Refuse to find myself in 14's and 16's for the new year. And since I don't own any really gotta stay in sizes that I do have.
                  So anyway that's me.
I work Tuesday through Saturday so today and another and I'll be off for a couple of days.
                  Have a great TGIF everyone!

                    Re: Friday Check In

                    Hello All!

You're all doing so well...what a great group of STACers! I think this is the most positive forum on the whole board, no doubt about it.

Well I drank my gallon of water yesterday, which made me very proud, but the only unfortunate thing is that I drank about 80oz. of it from dinner to bedtime...so in about 2.5 hours I had that much. Oooh I feel waterlogged...like, my head actually kind of hurts. So now I know better--either I go for the gallon and space it out during the day, or if I'm not close to my gallon at a certain point in the day, just take it easy with the H20. I think I really am waterlogged...either that or I've gained some muscle. Weigh in was today, and I am down a pound, but I was really expecting at least 3 by the way my body feels and how my clothing fits...so yes it must be muscle.

Anyway, you all have a great day, and drink your water (don't drown in it like I did, though!)

Hey Juli if you did that Marathon workout last night, and drank all that water, remember when you really extend and use your muscle, it holds alot of water, as it heals...
if the marathon is tonight, then I suspect it's not water gain, due to holding it in the muscles...

Good Afternoon STAC'ers!!! Sorry it's taken me so long to post today..... been a busy friday morning for me... Fridays are great, once I manage to get to 2:30! LOL The night job is a breeze, but the programming job in the mornings is always a rush to get things done and working right!

So this morning I hit the scale at 225.0... thats 1.5 lbs down from yesterday. And yes, I WILL weigh every day, I've learned that it keeps me motivated to see it going down everyday.. when I don't weigh, I pay less attention to what's going in my mouth! LOL

So far, 40 oz of water down the gullet today... not doing so hot on that! But I'm still a bit sluggish... I'll ramp that up this afternoon!!

Hope everyone has a great day!
Oh and also, here's a picture I took this morning, to keep myself on track.

                              Hello everybody:

I'm posting late, too. Crazy day at work again. I agree -- this is such a positive board! I want to send praises to all of you -- everybody is doing well!

I'm still doing well, too, just still working on the water. I'm doing my walking, did my crunches last night, too!

I do weigh myself each day, watching the weight go up and down, but will use the "official" weight on my Monday morning weigh-in, as usual.

I wish I could write more, but I've got to eat some lunch and get back to work.

                              Have a great weekend everybody!
