  • Thursday, anybody around?

Hey! No, I have not slipped or gone away - just been really super busy with Cmas and insurance for my TOTALLED Tahoe! I've been very good and feel the changes my body is making. I do not feel I'll be under 200 by January 1, but oh well.. long as there is no gain, I"m fine with it!

The kids and I were enthralled with The Biggest Loser Finale! OMYGOSH, did you not recognize some of those people!??

Needless to say, it totally helps the kids and myself to stay focused and continue. Son has been gazelling and now even the youngest is doing it.

On a side note.. I moved my belt a notch! Whoo hooo me!

Time to get some stuff done around the house. Hopefully things settle down soon. I'm ready for ROUTINE!

Congrats on the belt moving! That's always an awesome feeling!

I am not looking forward to the next couple weeks. I feel like December is like being on a roller coaster, except that you're going up up up...and then all of a sudden its all downhill, meaning everything is zooming by you at such a fast pace. The boys and I went out to do Christmas shopping yesterday. By the way, don't shop with a two and three year old and expect to get anything done. (Yeah. I should have known that too.) So anyhow, now that we've started shopping, its like the season has really started. I am working really hard on not getting stressed out. Hopefully I can use exercise to get me through the stressful times!

I feel for you. I really do! I did my shopping at night when the kids were young. Of course, I was a SAHM so I could sleep late the next day. It was just easier to be gone a few hours every day then to haul them all out for a trip here and there. It gets easier as they get older.

I have really pushed myself to get organized this year. All that has been purchased is wrapped! It helps when the ekids no longer believe. I can buy it, wrap it and put it out. No hiding or waiting for them to zzzz so I can wrap. I'm hoping to ENJOY this year to the max!

I would love to do my shopping at night, but DH works night and leaves by 9 pm. Its ok though, because tomorrow mom and me and grandma are doing our annual overnight shopping trip in the cities. Its supposed to be more of a "fun" looking at things we can't afford kind of thing, but I guess I could do some actual shopping. And besides, carrying all those boxes and bags will account for more exercise, right??

Hey girls -- Christmas shopping is easier for me now, too -- the kids are older and don't believe in Santa anymore. Chasin, your day will come -- those little tykes grow up so fast!

My oldest daughter and I are going shopping Saturday, all day, and I plan to get almost all presents bought that day. All that will be left will be gift cards for nieces and nephews. I'll just pick those up at the grocery store next week. Can you girls buy gift cards in the grocery stores where you live? Out here, Stater Brothers has gift cards for all the major and popular stores.

I watched the Biggest Loser finale, too -- it was so great, and so motivating!! You're right, Rachel, you couldn't even recognize a lot of them. I knew that Erik would win, but I just couldn't believe how he looked when he walked through the paper!!

            See you all tomorrow...

I too was so happy that Erik won! He really deserved it and WOW he's quite a stud now!

Today was the JH/HS Christmas Concert...it went pretty well. I'm very happy with the 6th and 8th grade performances, and I felt the HS soloists did a great job...the rock band...not so great. Then they were laughing (coping mechanism, I know they were really nervous and scared and sad they messed up) and afterwards thought they were in trouble. I haven't had time to speak with them yet as I had to dismantle the whole concert set-up before basketball practice started (Commandment 11: All shall yield to basketball) and was very very busy. But at least they learned the value of being prepared, and I held them accountable for their actions...made them go out there and try, because that's what counts.

SO, needless to say, I am EXHAUSTED, and I have eaten practically nothing today--honestly NO time. I just ate dinner and am stuffed after 2 small chicken tenders and 1/2c. green beans...I made pb cookies as a treat, will have them later while watching Top Chef.

TOMORROW is the elem. concert, which should be a blast, and then I am back to the gym! Yayyyyyyyyyyy!
