  • December 15 - FRIDAY!

    I hope everyone is doing fabulous and going strong! I popped in the office last night to visit with a co-worker while he was alone and we had the best time. It also helped that he said I was looking great!

    Tonight is the work party.. still debating. I'm sure I"ll swing by just to see everyone. It's always nice to catch up with folks.

    This weekend I'm hoping to wrap things up with shopping. Not sure if buying early is a good thing.. I tend to continue to buy up until Cmas LOL I've got some wrapping to do and a few lists to make.

    Time to get moving!

    Rachel, you sound like you are back to your normal self! I miss more chats with you. I was swamped with bootcamp and journals and life, so I was sorta crashing there a bit...Now, I am back up and happening...
    Oh I had the best work out jogging on the treadmill, I actually added a extra half mile an then rode the bike 11mi, while Bonnie my neighbor did the treamill 2 miles...I am pouring sweat and I am having a chemical-high, endorphines and ketones....my system is all abuzz and I am in the very best of moods...Don't you love natural mood-altering-drugs...endorphines!!!!!!!! Bye bye fat, see ya later!!!!!

        Today marks 1 week of my induction, whoo hoo! 0 Cheats and I'm finally back in control of my eating, even when my bf's eating pizza and chinese food and McDonalds in front of me, lol. I've been making a recipe book on a spiral index card notebook from Linda's low carb site, next time I go shopping I'll be prepared to find the ingredients to make more diverse food, yum! I cooked chicken last night and it didn't stink, it was great. I think I got past my cooking funk, hehe.

          Good for you Ayria. My BF eats that crap, too. I tell him I don't mind as long as he doesn't tempt me. The next thing I know he's trying to hand me a french fry. I ask him if he's crazy, but he really has no idea what a carb even is. He's just a manly man and doesn't really care about that kinda stuff.

          If you need any help with recipes or cooking PM me. It sounds like you're on the right track.

            Morning all!

            I'm feeling great, but the scale still hasn't budged. My clothes fit great, so I'll just keep doing what I'm doing and the scale will eventually catch up (I think I already said that a few days ago). I really believe it will happen. I think I need to step up the walking a notch, maybe that will help. And, of course, more water...

              The first step to achieve any goal is to believe in yourself. It sounds like you have that down pat Tammy. You are right about stepping up the walking. That's what I do when I get into a slump.

                  Hi all:

                  I too am having a good one. I was at a luncheon seminar yesterday and had no trouble even with the triple decker chocolate cake and hot cookies the size of a small pie at break. Tammy, I just experienced a period where I lost inches and not pounds, but my scale has started to budge ever so slighty, YEAH! Yours will too, it is just our bodies adjusting. After the way we have treated them in the past they may be in a little shock. It can be frustrating but you sure sound committed to working through it! Keep the water and exercise going, it works!

                  I hope everyone is feeling as good as I am and here's to a successfully fun, energized weekend before Christmas. Make the memories count, not the carbs!

                    Hi everyone. I'm having a weird day. I had lost another pound 2 days ago, and then today I gained 2 pounds and I have the WORST carb headache for some reason. I must have had something yesterday that had carbs but I can't figure out what it would have been. It's so weird. Bah. Oh well, I know it'll go away, but it's still frustrating and my poor head hurts.

                      knicknack, I had that happen yesterday. I think it was the bacon I ate for breakfast. I felt hung over real bad. The bacon said it didn't have any carbs in it, but the ingredients list sugar. Kinda confusing... I looked at my sausage this morning, too and the same happened. No carbs, but it has sugar in the ingredients list. I was doing good just sticking to pure meats.

                        Hey all...finally checking in! Today was a great day--very busy, I was at school by 6:15am to finish up preparations for today's concert. The concert went really well, the kids did a great job--I'm very proud of them! It was very well organized, everything flowed smoothly, it made for a very happy music teacher! The principal presented me with a boquet of roses on behalf of the teachers and students, which was so sweet! I was almost getting mushy about it...

                        My eating has sucked the past two days--I have been so non-stop busy that I haven't eating basically anything until dinnertime. And yes I'm usually a busy person and find time to eat, but these past two days have been basically me, by myself, decorating, setting-up, sound-checking in a gym, as well as rehearsing with the students...I did manage to get in all my water yesterday, and close so far today. I MIGHT weigh myself tomorrow am but might skip it until next week, since I'm smackdabinthemiddle of TOM.
