Hello STAC'ers!! Hope yesterday was a good day for everyone! Today I must finish my shopping, and my niece will be visiting. Shes coming about 130. Im excited! Lots to do then this morning. Yesterday was a good day 1, hoping for a better day 2 today! Might even pick up a new video today to put in the dvd player down here. Ive figured out my chrsitmas plan and now Im not so worried. Ham and veggies. cant go wrong with that. I dont need the beans, or potatoes, or rolls, or anything else. Holidays are not about food...I just need to keep telling myself that

Man, if the world could figure out that the holidays aren't about food...why is it that we center our holidays around what we are eating? How about enjoying the presence of people? Indulging in coversation? Its a strange world we live in, isn't it?

      Happy Holidays! Just checking in.

I did a 1/2 hour on the Bowflex Treadclimber and for breakfast I had to fried eggs with cheese and a couple slices of bacon. So far so good. I have a Christmas party to go to this evening and I'm going to do the best I can.

      Have a great day.

        Hey STACers!

Yep schellie, if the world could stop focusing on food it would be a happier place...I guess I can thank my parents for my preoccupation with food...

I'm feeling better this a.m. (had some intestinal distress yesterday) though I still don't know what caused it...the only new food I had is raspberries...you don't think THAT would cause it, do you? Anyway, I plan on going to the gym in an hour or so, working my tushie off, coming home, doing some cleaning, and having lunch with the bf...then we're going shopping for groceries...I'm doing lots of baking tomorrow so I'll have to buy flour and sugar...I know, what a sacrelige! I still have to figure out what kind of cookies I can make that won't tempt me...I might just stick with plain old cut out Christmas cookies...chocolate is what REALLY tempts me.

        Have a great day guys!

checking in! Hard to believe Cmas is almost here! I've got ONE gift left to get Have to wrap the few things I got yesterday and I'm done. I'm totally going to enjoy this year! I thank my energy and clear head due to atkins for that!

The kids moved the gazelle back in the house - guess they hated coming to my office to use it. Oh well. Long as we are using it.

Today it's raining and damp and cold. Time to get more water in!

Mornin'! I managed to sleep with a piece of broken glass in my bed last night, don't ask me how it got there cuz I have no idea, but I'm all cut up this morning, doh! I blame my cat, she's always tacking stuff into my bed but I still have no idea where that would have come from. Hopped on the scale this morning then promptly stuffed it in the bathroom cabinet, not happy with what it says, grrr. I hereby swear off all fast food! Bunless or not, hamburgers are evil, even the "low carb" one from Carl's Jr. Baaaah!

Good morning all! We're all busy, but still checking in. I've noticed that lately we've been missing quite a few of our newer members. I sure hope they are all doing well and will come back soon.

If any of you are reading this, please come back! If you've fallen off the wagon, let us help you get back on.

                  Re: Thursday 12/21

                  Hey everyone!

Got through my first full week - and I'm so happy with the results! I've only lost 4#, but I feel so much better! Been exercising and staying on track. It hasn't been easy - parties, parties everywhere . . . but I've done it! One of the girls at work commented today that she can't believe I would start a "diet" this time of year and she really can't believe I've passed up all the goodies. Well . . . I want to start the new year feeling good about myself and I'm just telling myself that I'm allergic to all those goodies . . . they cause me to break out in fat! And ain't that the truth??

May I say that you ALL look great! Wow! I have a signature picture as well, but will not post it until I am back to looking like that! My original starting weight on Atkins was 232 in Feb. 2003. I got down to 175 one day a few months later . . . and then fell off the wagon!!! Grrr. When I started back last week I was 208 and this morning I'm 204! I'm trying not to concentrate on the number on the scale - but rather on how good I feel and how much better my clothes fit already (is that possible??) - seems the first place I lose is the belly - which is also the first place I gain, so I guess that makes sense.

Do you all check in every day in this STAC? Cool!

                  Onward and downward!!

                    Good morning all:

I had a Christmas party breakfast meeting this morning and I am happy to say I had the most wonderful omlette freshly prepared and did not eat any of the danish, candies or other temptations. It is so satisfying to know that it did not even bother me! I am still doing the daily exercise (2) programs each day this week. Feeling great with all the exercise and water!

I am looking forward to the holiday since I am cooking I am in control and it should be a good one!

I wish everyone a Merry Christmas if you don't check in on a regular basis!!
