    MERRY Christmas to all!
Today can be quiet a day for those of us on this WOL. I am up very early, just couldn't sleep much...Haven't slept much the whole break so far.The house is quiet. Today is a day, I've been thinking about since Aug. when I started Atkins. It's like a "day far away" that you say to yourself, "I am want to be on Atkins that far out!"... Well this is one of my days! I am on Atkins. I am doing well on Atkins, and thriving.
Yesterday my daughter and I jogged and walked 3mi. it was a huge deal. Today it's pouring rain in Atlanta.

I hope all of you stick to plan, no matter what. New Years is coming and to be able to stand there on that day and feel proud of where you are with food and exercise is like a huge boost as we look back at our year and look forward to a new one! I am proud of these last 5 mos. I look forward to this next quarter. I am strong and healthy and moving in the right direction! I am not ashamed, embarassed, defeated, depressed or emotionally unstable trying to act all together. My smile is bright, not weak and faking it. My eyes are clear, my thoughts are organzied! My little addict is wrapped up with ribbon in the corner, she is not invited to the celebration. There is tape across her mouth, she lies! She'll tell me, "come on, it's a holiday!" "just one bite" she'll make me think I can rebound and overcome any justified stand....Like I said, shes wrapped up in tape in the corner...

Stay strong today, set goals for the new year. Focus on what you want beyond food!!!

    Merry Christmas STACers!

Hope everyone stays strong and focused during these festive times! I am going to a friend's house for dinner, but she knows I am on atkins and has plenty of good foods available. I plan on drinking all of my water by noon, because I will be having a glass or two of wine with Christmas Dinner. Yesterday and today are my rest days for the week, as the gym is CLOSED and the sidewalks here are treacherous to walk/run on. So I am relaxing and being lazy--I earned it!

I think this will only be the 2nd time in history that I will actually LOSE weight over the holidays! I'm hoping to take some pictures today--if I do, I'll be sure to post them.

    Have a great celebration, all!

      Re: Christmas morning 2006

Merry Christmas everyone! Today is a beautiful white Christmas, my family is healthy, warm and safe and we've had a good day so far. My wish is that all our Atkins friends have a blessed day filled with love, happiness and safety. I'm particularly thankful that over the past two years I've learned my new way of life. I don't have to stress over the desserts or the high carb foods that are passed to me. It's become a wonderful habit and for the first time in my life...food doesn't control my emotions. Its a wonderful feeling and I pray that we all continue to live the way of life and continue to get thinner, healthier and happier every year!

Merry Christmas everybody -- the kids opened their presents a little while ago -- boy, that didn't take long! It's quiet now, they're all playing in one of the bedrooms.

I'll make a small breakfast and then it will be time to start cooking Christmas dinner. There will be lots of good choices for me -- ham, turkey, salad, celery, green beans. It will be a good day.

          I made it YAY !!!!
We had our big christmas meal lastnight so it was just gifts and tons of leftovers today and I made it through to whole thing without much trouble I mean I looked at some things and thought Mmmm man that would taste good but I just stuck to the foods I made that were okay for my WOE and it felt great esp when I got on the scale this morning and seen I'm down another pound Yay sticking to my WOL really feels like the best gift I could have given myself.

          Merry Christmas !

              Re: Christmas morning 2006

Well I'm late in my wishes (didn't get anywhere near a computer yesterday - we were out and running with the kids before the sun came up) but I do hope everyone had a great Christmas. Ours went well. Legal and everything. Breakfust/brunch was an amazing chicken alfredo no noodle lasagna that my mom made. Lunch was appetizers at Grandmas of which I partook in shrimp and the veggie tray (minus the carrots). Supper was at home...and that's always legal!

Happy day after Christmas to everyone!
