  • Poppin' In to Say Hi & What's Up for New Years?

Happy Holidays Everyone! I haven't posted in awhile -- been lurkin'.......I started my reinduction Dec. 1- weighed myself on the 15th and lost 9lbs! I am very pleased as I was nervous after reading the "struggle" that alot of people have the 2nd, 3rd....time around. I plan on extending induction for however long it feels right.....

Now, to change the subject, I am planning on actually cooking something for New Year's Eve or Day for the first time in years (don't ask) -- I've read through all of the wonderful induction-friendly side dishes on the board and think I'm going to do a nice Prime Rib.......I'm wondering what everyone else is doing for New Year's meals....

    feelin' pretty darn good!

Tradition in the south is cabbage for money and black-eyed peas for luck! The kids have been asking if I have them both LOL I'll cook a pork loin and probably some legal veggie for me - tho I will be having some black-eyed peas because I need all the luck I can get. Son wants cornbread... and I"ll probably do cauliflower mashed taters.. haven't had that in a while. I cleaned out the fridge this morning - time to head to the store and stock up again!

Sounds like some great traditions! I have little smokies, shrimp, and veggies. I would make a ork loin and the black eyed peas...lol...but anything that smells like pork right now has to stay faaaaaaar away from my stomach after dealing with the flu this week.
