  • Carb Counts...

I've been noticing lately how varied carb counts can be for the same product. For example..
half a cup of onion on Atkins website is 5 carbs
then in the book it's 7 carbs
then on fitday it's like 10 carbs...
Sometimes I'll make something with the carb count from the book in mind and then I plug it in on Fitday and it's completely different (I do subtract fiber). It can really mess up my total carbs for the day
Does anyone else come across discrepencies like these and which do you think is the more accurate source?

BTW these aren't the actual carb counts for onions just an example.

I have noticed that. I go by fitday...and if I find something that's really off from fitday somewhere else, then I go to the usda website and use their count. But, if I'm not mistaken, that's what fitday uses.

I never even thought of the USDA website. That's a good idea. Thanks
