Remember Atkins is a ketogenic diet, we are all working to get into ketosis, so that our appetite diminishes, our cravings calm way down and our energy goes way up AND WE BURN OUR OWN FAT STORES. You can't play around with carbs, you must limit them at first to induction levels so your body begins to burn your fat for fuel. We acutally run better on our fat stores than our carb loads...THEN YOU CAN MOVE TO THE RUNGS, in ongoing weight loss. The book needs to be a constant source of direction and motivation.
The blood sugars will begin to even out and our moods will reflect a stability.
We feel stronger and excited and it provokes us to keep drinking the water and exercise...
The exericse will release endorphines which will make us feel wonderful after we feel terrible exercising...
If you are new, keep close and post, start a journal in journal chats. Focus on the 3 big things, water, low carb foods, and exercise...YOU NEED ALL 3...
Make these your top priority. Plan and prepare...stay focused and work hard, it will create a lifestyle that will cause you to looseweight and maintain weight loss... Oh yeah and DON"T watch the scales every five minutes, they don't move like that and it could cause you to risk quitting...Be patient and get into a flow and rhythm with this way of life...nothing works instantly here, so you can then go back...GOING BACK WILL CAUSE YOUR WEIGHT TO GO RIGHT BACK UP!!! GO BACK AND YOU FLIP WITH METABOLIC SWITCH BACK TO STORING CARBS AS FAT. Think about that.

I got some pork ribs and peperoncinis and gonna throw them in the crockpot. I will be going to the Y later tonight, so I will get my exercise in. I didnt lose as much today as I thought I would, but anything is better than nothing. I need to crack a lack on the water. I KNOW Im not getting enough. so today will be a good day I hope.
