Well, I know that trans fats are not good for you. They make your body manufacture too much cholesterol which can lead to health problems down the line. I just checked my butter and it doesn't have any trans fat in it. Check yours. If it does, next time you go food shopping look for a brand that is trans fat free. People always say to me, "Atkins is so bad for you." I don't think that's true. There are lots of great places to get heart healthy fats such as olive oil, avocados & nuts (when you get to the right rung). It just takes a little extra effort from us to look into what we are putting into our bodies. I hope that helped!
My butter doesn't have trans fats in it either. Its been a while since I read an article on it, but from what I recall, transfats are in some salad dressings (so watch your dressings), cakes, cookies, all those bad things. I read labels on most everything now to avoid it. For instance, I was buying my son peanut butter crackers for a handy snack - those had transfats in them - so now not buying it. Just read labels.
