      Re: tuesday check in

Hi guys! So far so good today. I can't believe how good I am feeling. And after day 1, I didn't experience any more caffeine headaches. I'm drinking a really good organic decaf that tastes so wonderful that I forget it's decaf. I feel so calm and serene...I am loving it. It's nice to not think about food every second. That's what I love about this WOL....takes my food obsession (= sugar addition) right away.

Lisa, thanks for starting this thread! And congrats on realizing your mistake yesterday and implementing a plan to fix it! Without reflection, we'd be going nowhere on this WOL. Reflection is the key...did this cause cravings? Did I eat until full? Did this food make me feel gross? Great job, Lisa!

Jess, you sound very energetic today...pass some of that along, will ya!?

Hey, welcome Wonder Woman--glad you're BACK! and nice to meet you.

Well I'm actually off to a good start...I didn't sleep well and felt sick all night, but thankfully I am back to my old self again and feeling better. Today is a DAY OF REST as I need to take a break! I worked HARD yesterday, and I don't want to burn myself out. I'm going to try for over a gallon of water again today...

        Have a great day, STACers!

          Morning STACers!

Sounds like everyone is doing great today! I'm hanging in on day 9 with a head cold, yuck. Because of the cold I was a little weak on my water intake yesterday, so today the plan is to up the water, which hopefully will also help my cold.

Hope everyone has a great day!

I'm definetly getting sick. All I'm focussing on today is water and getting calories in, I don't think I can meet percentages but I don't want to go into starvation mode either. I'm sore all over, definetly the flu >_< icky.

                Good morning everybody!

Checking in -- doing very well -- eating well -- drinking my water! Had a wonderful dinner last night -- steak, brocolli with cheese, salad. I love steak night!

Tonight I'm trying a new recipe from Linda's site -- Chicken alfredo with zuchinni -- I'm sure it will be delicious. My hubby loves all of the new recipes we've tried.

                Have a good day all!

                  Afternoon!

Exercised for the first time in a long time (weights). Oi Vey are my legs sore! But it felt great. Tonights cardio. Billy Blanks is my secret video boyfriend, I love the motivation along the way. I'm chugging right along and I dropped a few more pounds. Can't wait to see what happens this second week!

                    Re: tuesday check in

Day 15 for me here and to be truthful I am a little let down that I didn't really lose very much during induction. Maybe 2 or 3 lbs. My clothes are feeling a little looser but not as much as I had anticpated. Well maybe I will lose more on the next rung. On the plus side I do feel fantastic and have lots of energy throughout the day...and I am definetley not gaining any weight and that is always a good thing! So I will keep plugging along and doing my thing and I am sure the weight will come off in time.

Hang in there Lucky!! Lots of members have started out with a slow induction only to have a nice whooshie after they move on. Maybe you will show better losses on OWL. Do you plan on moving on to OWL or doing extended induction? Just stay the course and the results will come.

I have to tell this story. When I went on Atkins the first time, I lost about 7 or 9 lbs on induction (I don't remember) and then I lost nothing for 4 weeks. Nothing! I never even THOUGHT about giving up. I started losing again at that point and eventually lost 37 lbs! So don't give up! Bodies fluctuate and adjust!

Thanks so much for your comments on losing/not losing/losing. I tend to lose very slowly---even on induction----which is so frustrating for me,so when i hear about other people's experiences about not losing and then Whoosh---it gives me hope! Still on induction--day 10---plan to stay on induction for a while. I 'm very strict on induction; excercising but i don't feel that i'm losing anything yet---and if my scale is not broken then i haven't lost any actual pounds.

Loosing slow is a bummer, but it is better than nothing...are you exercising Daily??? Drinking all your water? Hang in there, if this is lifestyle, you are already doing everything you will do every day, so trust your body will eventually let that weight go!
