    Hey STACers... Are we SURGING ONWARD....MSNBC says that the buzz word right now in the USof A is "surge" and that of course comes from Bush...not to get into politics at all, but grabbing the word SURGE, it made me think....

    For alot of you SURGE is a good word, because of Ketosis! You all should be in ketosis as of day 3 or 4...But have you studies in the book how valuable a metabolic place that is? Do you know that's what induction is truly leading you right into, and when you get there, truthfully there is an energy surge and a vitality and excitment that seems to acompany you!!! It is so noticable and strong in the beginning...

    Ketosis, and this ketogenic diet make me sooo happy. I have in my 6th month all the energy to accomplish all I have to. I am happy with myself, I am bounding in positive vibes...even under stress and the challenge of this exact time, I still have a strenght to get it all done!
    I know being in ketosis is the reason why! I value this place so much, I will do most anything I have to to protect that ketogenic state...It all comes down to carbs and only allowing those that truthfully are healthy for me, in low amounts.
    Do you feel the surge? If you don't, do a clean induction for 5 days straight and you will be there....and you will know it

    Good Morning Jess and everyone else. Happy Hump Day!! I agree Jess so much about this ketogenic state. It not only makes me have more energy physically but it really clears the fog mentally. I seemed to be mentally drained ALL The TIME before but now I awake clear headed and ready for the day. So, I too vow to keep myself into ketosis as long as possible and healthy. Good luck everyone.

      Good Morning everyone!!! Jess you always have such great post you always get me thinking and thats a good thing. As for me im feeling great this morning, ready to take on this day, yesterday though i had some major hunger issues going on or at least that is the way i felt, it is about that tom so im not sure if that is what it is or eating the day before where i did not plan and ate something maybe that triggered cravings, even though i ate all legal foods but i did introduce two new things that i never had before, but i feel back to normal today, but the good thing is i stayed on my plan yesterday and i know i should not weigh so frequently but i have lost one more pound so that is a total of 9lbs!!!! well i hope everyone has a blessed day, will check in with you all later!!! oh yeah i noticed my signature pic shrunk without me doing anything not sure why but oh well im not to computer savvy!!!

        Hi everyone! Thanks for the inspiration Jess! I haven't used a ketostick yet so maybe today. This is day 4 for me. But I couldn't be feeling better!

        Nicole - I know exactly what you mean about the mental fog. I feel so mentally clear this week. I just feel fantastic all the time!

        Lisa - I am having my tom too and realized that this time, I won't deal with it with chocolate. But that's ok because I'm feeling better than normal. Sorry about the hunger issues. I always fight that by having a tablespoon of cream cheese or a slice of turkey or other meat. 9 lbs is AWESOME!

        I slinked onto the scale and I think I'm down a pound and a half. I know, I know, step away from the scale. I already FEEL lighter!

        I skipped the gym last night after going three days in a row but I'll go tonight. That is ONE thing that I have done very good on the last year or so - exercise.

          Morning STACers!

          Great job on the losses!! I'm a scale addict too, so I weigh daily. I'm on day 10 and down 5 pounds. Not as much as I had hoped, but I'll take it. I'm still going strong, no cravings - which is awesome. Since I have a head cold, I've been a little weak on water. So I'm trying really hard to increase my water consumption. I think that is why I'm stuck at the 5 pound loss (not that I'm complaining about 5 pounds gone).

            I'm dying for an energy surge! It's not diet-related...I'm coming down with something, and haven't slept well the past two nights. I've been ache-y, headache, dry throat, the works. So I'm drinking water like a fish, trying to flush out whatever is in me! Ah, but have no fear STACers, this shall not keep me away from Kickboxing tonight!

              I am on day three and feeling pretty good. Was very tired one days one and two which is to be expected.
              Am not feeling hungry and starting to feel very positive about everything weight wise. I have a beef borginon marinading and will have that with some green beans and spinach tonight - yum!

                Good morning everyone! Yes, Jess...I'm feeling that SURGE. I feel clear headed, I feel energetic today. I brought my clothes with me to run at lunch today. I NEED to go do that, I NEED to feel those endorphins, my blood pumping, my cells moving and burning ahhhh I can't wait!

                I am back down to 193 today. HOORAY! It's been 6 weeks or so since I last saw that number. I hope it stays this time. I think it will because that's been my MO, big drop and then bounce way back up...take weeks and weeks to get back down and then stay at that weight for a while. Then another big drop and then bounce back up again. Oh well.

                I'm 8 LBS from GOAL!

                    I feel great as well. I'm on day 4 and down 7.5lbs. I had forgotten how great I could feel.

                      I am surging as well. Feeling great and balanced. No 'highs and lows'. My weight is a bit more stubborn to go but its a-going. My tendon is bringing me down because it has stopped me from walking and bike riding but I think tomorrow I might be able to walk a bit.

                        Hi everybody -- I'm feeling great today, too! I think I'll be starting my TOM any day now -- I was very tired on Monday & Tuesday, which is common for me the week before TOM. I feel much better today.

                          I'm still feeling icky, maybe Julie caught my cold through the boards =P. Would that be considered a computer virus? My neck and right side of my face are tender from my bad tooth still too. I did alright managing to eat yesterday, hopefully I'll keep feeling better. I may be going out shopping today, though I don't want to buy anything since I want to be SHRINKNG, hehe, but I definetly have to hit the grocery store too. All I have left are eggs, well besides the freezer full of hot pockets and mini pizzas and burritos >_> yuck.

                              Golly do I know what you mean! It's amazing what your brain can do outside of the sugar fuzz. I used to be so sleepy by this time of day, but now I feel jazzed all day long. Billy Blanks beat me up last night, but in a good way. Doing some weights tonight, look at those pythons!
