    Goodmorning STACers...I hope today is a great day in your walk with Atkins. I know so many of you are new, or restarting, or coming back to these boards. I love it here, I love to come here in the morning and start my whole day off right here...This place is very much a part of my foundation.

    So many people are picking goals and things they want to achieve...they know working today, will put them on a road to their "somewhere" tomorrow... We all know the people who start, slide away and then pop back up and see those who stuck with it..."I could be where you are now too"...

    I want things out of Atkins...and I am getting them, are you? I want energy, healthiness and confidence about myself, and now after 5 months plus of daily working this, I am walking IN IT. I want to jog and exercise and do things athletic people do. I am engaging in those activities now...

    I wanted to walk into the new year strong.
    I want to arrive at my 50th birthday in the 150's, even if it's 159.
    I want to run the Peachtree Road Race in July
    I want to be here Aug 1,2007, my 1 yr anniv.
    I want Jimmie 48 to hand me a "goal" award for having arrived at goal.

    It can happen, especially since I laid a foundation, that I adhere to daily and refuse to compromise.
    Just think if you work very hard at creating routines and structure and foundation, just think of how cool spring will be this year, how much more alive you will feel this summer! How fantastic your energy, health, confidence and activity levels will be.
    It all starts in the colder, quieter days, where we lay that foundation of success, water, exercise, lowcarb foods, and suppliments. Daily planning and strong routines.

      Good Morning STACERS!!! Friday is here yay! Jess i promise you always have the right words to say, i love reading your post. As for me everyone i feel great, the one thing im noticing is im not sleeping that well but i dont feel tired either, i have been getting about 6hrs of sleep a night sometimes 5.5 because i wake up a time or two but i feel energized in the morning maybe that is that energy surge jess was talking about the other day.

      Im going to get my butt in gear and start excercising, i know i will see better results when i do and i just feel better all over. well everyone i hope you all have a blessed day, im off to venture into my day i will check in later!!

        Good Morning STAC!!! It's Friday WoooHooo! Today @ 12:00p.m. CST my office is having a mandatory lunch meeting. Our Business Administrator is taking another job and they are announcing it today. This means our office manager is stepping up into that possition and I have been promoted to her job. I get a much needed $2 hr raise and actually will be making the same as I would be at a Pharmacy Tech job where I was before. I am so excited that they have given me this opportunity and trust in such a short time. I haven't hit my 6th month anniversary yet. 1/25/07. I can't contain my happiness. I look forward to this challenge. I am in charge of the insurance department and all of the billing duties. This is a lot of responsibility but I enjoy it a lot. So I just wanted to tell somebody!! I couldn't say anything to anyone at work yet because it's a SECRET. So don't go telling anyone!! LOL ..it would be a miracle if anyone here knew anyone I know lol. So this is going to be a good year in so many ways. This WOE has lifted my confidence and my self esteem. I feel revived. Thank God for sending us DR. Atkins when he did. I hope he's up there smiling on us all.

          Lisa - I noticed that too. Last night I just wasn't tired at 10 o'clock like normal. So I did some more stuff around the house before going to bed and I'm STILL perky this morning.

          Me - well, I've lost 5 lbs in 6 days!!!!! 9 lbs if you count my HIGHEST weight (which I think was a fluke the day after a big meal).

          I feel like a different person already. I remember three years ago when I got married in the spring. I really felt like I transformed myself and I am so excited about transforming myself this winter and spring too - ready for summer!

          Going through some stress with my hubby's depression but I'm glad I'm eating right or maybe I wouldn't be able to handle the stress as well.

          Thanks Jess for your words. This is now where I come every morning to get the day started right!

            My morning has NOT started off well! It's -30 here and my jeep is being prissy and wouldn't start. Well it did start after I revved it for ages, but then in promptly stalled. So I'm catching a ride in to work, and will leave the jeep problem for the boyfriend to solve when he gets home.

            But at least I ate breakfast and checked out ADBB while I wait for my ride!

            Geoff and I are going to the gym after work, and YAY I'm finally done with that stupid bike! (Sorry Jess!) I'm just looking forward to getting back into running on the treadmill.

              Julie - Sorry your day has started off at negative 30 . Yuck!!! (And that your jeep wouldn't start of course!) Hope the rest of the day is great.

              As for me, I'm on day 12 and thrilled that I'm actually going to make it through induction CHEAT FREE!! I still feel strong and I'm looking forward to jumping into an exercise routine ASAP.

                  Good morning everybody! Congrats to all of you!

                  Julie, I hope your day gets better.

                  It is actually snowing in the Inland Empire of Southern California this morning. We are having very low temperatures as of today and we're having snow at very low elevations. I live in Norco, and we had light snow -- but as I drove to work, 45 minutes away, to a different county (Orange County - much further away from the mountains), it was still cold, but no clouds, no snow.

                  Anyway.... I'm good today -- went off plan a little yesterday, but it didn't affect me on the scale this morning, so I'm being extra diligent today and will drink tons of water to make sure I don't get a delayed hit on the scale tomorrow.

                  Thanks Jess for another awesome post this morning!

                    Mornin' everyone. I went to the store yesterday finally and I'll be starting Owl rung 1 today finally. I also signed up for the bikini/trunk challenge, even though I'll still always wear a one piece =P, so I am preparing for that, whew. It officially starts in 3 days but I need to work on getting even able to do crunches first, eeek, hehe. It's too cold to get out of bed yet so I'm cuddling with my warm laptop, lol. Hope everyone has a great day!

                        Hi all!

                        Feelin good on day 12. This feels so much more "right" than the first time around. I think instead of not telling people what I was doing (as I did in the past), I have been more open and telling people exactly what my new WOE is. And suprise, all positive responses! Good to be here and glad to know that everyone is doing so well.

                          Hello to all! I'm finally back... I have had one hectic few weeks. Christmas, New Year's, and finally I had to move, but now hopefully I will have a more stable environment. I weighed after New Years and found I didn't gain any weight (didn't lose any either). My mini goal is coming up really fast, and I don't think I'm going to make it. Maybe I will make it by next month. Cross your fingers. I missed everyone and thought about adbb almost every day feeling guilty I haven't been checking in.

                              Wow Joy that is awesome, i do a mile in about 17 minutes, and as hard as i have tried i cant get a better number than that, not sure if you are power walking or running but you go girl!!!
